It's nice to see Patti lets you use her camera. lol Wait until you see the pictures. Normally I only get to touch the camera when I'm downloading the pictures. Not sure what she did or what her secret is but WOW and I like that she allows herself pina colada and other tempting treats! Patti says Thanks!!!

Rare Jamman54 Posted May 27, 2019 Author #207 Share Posted May 27, 2019 Day # 8 (April 25th) - Fun Day at Sea. Here are today’s Fun Times….. We were up at 7 am to a cloudy and hazy day. It was our last day on the Inspiration and we had yet to hear about the Diamond event with the Captain. I called Guest Services to ask about it and I was told that the Diamond event was held the day we were in Catalina. I told them that we were disappointed since we were never given an invitation. Once again, as Patti was drying her hair, we lost power to the cabin. We made another call to Guest Services to send maintenance to our cabin. He reset the breaker again and explained to us that there are four cabins for each breaker, and if two or more people are drying their hair at the same time the breaker will trip. This has never happened before in our over fifty cruises, and I suggested to him that maybe you ought to replace that breaker. Geez, this day isn’t starting so well. We are planning to head to the Sea Day Brunch today, but first Patti wants to check out the arts & crafts scheduled this morning. I would head to the Red Frog Rum Bar for a few beers. They were making Mother’s Day cards today….. Afterwards, Patti collected me and we made it down to the brunch in the Mardi Gras Dining Room….. We both had fruit plates to start….. We got our free drinks using our coupons….. This is what I had….. This is Patti’s brunch….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted May 27, 2019 Author #208 Share Posted May 27, 2019 After leaving the Mardi Gras Dining Room I went to play blackjack one more time, (didn’t do so well), while Patti went to check out the Chocolate Extravaganza….. Here are a couple of watermelon carvings….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted May 27, 2019 Author #209 Share Posted May 27, 2019 (edited) Patti went to check out the Del Norte Teen Choir who were performing in the Paris Lounge….. Back up on the Lido it was amazing how many kids could fit in the hot tubs. I for one, would not be using them this cruise…. Patti and I went to check out the Love and Marriage Show with Ryan Rose….. We hung around for the big bingo of the cruise, which of course, we didn’t come close to winning. Afterwards we went back to the cabin to begin our packing. This was our final towel creation of this cruise….. To be continued….. Edited May 27, 2019 by Jamman54
Hogladyrider Posted May 27, 2019 #210 Share Posted May 27, 2019 WOW that's a LOT of chocolate! As for the kids in the hot tubs, yikes, guess no one with Carnival was minding the store.
Rare Jamman54 Posted May 27, 2019 Author #211 Share Posted May 27, 2019 We thought about going to YTD tonight, since Guest Services had sent us two vouchers for free Steakhouse Selections to make up for us “missing” the Diamond event. However, when we got there the line to get in was crazy long, so we decided to go eat up on the Lido. After we ate we took one last walk around the ship. Lisette and Tyler were playing in the Atrium….. 2Notes was playing at the Casino Bar….. We passed by the Bonsai Sushi Express…. Motor City was being performed in the Paris Lounge….. Back in the Candlelight Lounge, Comedy Club host Brooke is introducing tonight’s first act, Shayma Tash….. Back to the cabin to finish packing, put the luggage out in the hall, and call it a cruise. Coming up next: Goodbye Inspiration, hello Queen Mary!

Rare Jamman54 Posted May 28, 2019 Author #218 Share Posted May 28, 2019 Day # 9 (April 26th) - Back in Long Beach. We awoke at 7 am to find that we were already docked back in Long Beach. Here is the General Debarkation Information….. Here is our Diamond Debarkation Information….. We decided to skip breakfast this morning. We are not carrying our own luggage off, so at 8:15 am we vacate our cabin and head for the Library to wait. They have coffee and Danish there for us. At 9 am we were allowed to debark the ship. Ryan Rose was at the gangway saying goodbye to everyone. We made the long walk across the bridge, into the dome, and down the ramps until we reached the baggage area. Finding our bags was easy since almost everyone carried their own bags off. We will be spending today and tonight across the parking lot at the Queen Mary. I was hoping to have Big Al take our luggage over but he wasn’t available. However, Big JD jumped in and grabbed our bags. We are heading over to the Queen Mary….. Welcome to the Queen Mary…. Our porter hands our luggage over to the bell hop….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted May 28, 2019 Author #219 Share Posted May 28, 2019 We are now embarking the Queen Mary….. We board onto Deck “A” and the hotel lobby…… Since we are so early our cabin is not ready. They sore our luggage for us, and give us a faux key card so that we can be recognized as hotel guests. They will call us when our cabin is ready. We are here….. Here are some of the Queen Mary highlights…… To be continued……
grandmarnnurse Posted May 28, 2019 #220 Share Posted May 28, 2019 Following along! I was so happy to see a post on another thread where you mentioned your review. I’ve been waiting (not so patiently—Lol) for it ever since I heard you were sailing to Hawaii for your 25th Anniversary. And the extra bonus of this shorter cruise was fabulous! My hubby and I are celebrating our 50th Anniversary in March, and had a cruise booked for April 11 for an 8 day on the Magic. After much discussion, we felt that wasn’t enough celebrating, so we added a week on, April 5, to make it a B2B, because these milestone anniversaries require a whole lot more celebrating! We are actually going to drive to Ft Lauderdale, so we are even leaving one week early, and rented a cottage in Florida before boarding our ship. We also added a cruise in February on the Glory out of NOLA, and heading there 3 days prior. I am so excited to be following along on yours and Patti’s celebration!
Rare Jamman54 Posted May 28, 2019 Author #221 Share Posted May 28, 2019 We decide that we will head up to the Promenade Café for breakfast, which is two decks up. We start to head up the stairs, and at the first landing between decks, we find the old first class gymnasium….. Right next to it is the present day gym….. We go up another flight of stairs to “M” Deck. We didn’t know it at the time but our cabin will be on this deck….. To be continued……

We climb up one more deck to the Promenade Deck….. Everywhere you turn there is a display of some sort to check out….. Rare Jamman54 Posted May 28, 2019 Author #224 Share Posted May 28, 2019 Walking along the Promenade you will find even more displays and various plaques….. There is even a model gallery which we will get back to later….. We have reached the Promenade Café….. This is the breakfast menu….. We both had omelets and rye toast for breakfast…..
