Rare Jamman54 Posted June 13, 2019 Author #459 Share Posted June 13, 2019 I decided that I was going to stay in the cabin until sail away and work on the pictures for the review. Patti grabs the camera and heads out. She loves taking pictures of the different venues when there are no people there. First, the Splendor Lobby and Bar…… Looking up at the skylight….. She heads up to the open deck on Deck 10 and gets these views of the port area. I wish the weather had been better….. This is the empty Liner Pool all the way aft on Deck 9….. Rare Jamman54 Posted June 13, 2019 Author #465 Share Posted June 13, 2019 Patti comes back to the cabin to join me for sail away. Rare Jamman54 Posted June 13, 2019 Author #467 Share Posted June 13, 2019 Though it was cloudy outside, we did manage to see a little bit of the sun setting….. The map on the television shows us leaving Hawaii and heading for the West coast….. Soon it was time for dinner, so off to the Gold Pearl Restaurant we go. Here are tonight’s menus….. Patti started off with a shrimp cocktail and a Caesar salad, while I had the corn fritters and bbq pulled wild boar….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted June 13, 2019 Author #468 Share Posted June 13, 2019 For her main, Patti had the salmon fillet…… I had the fried shrimp and fish, followed by the beef hakka from the Port of Call selections. Just a warning, the Port of Call portions are HUGE! I couldn’t eat it all….. Here is tonight’s dessert menu….. Patti decided to skip dessert again, but I had the key lime pie….. The waiters performed for us again….. After dinner we walked the Promenade, but since we were both stuffed and sleepy we made our way back to the cabin. There we found this note on the bed reminding us to move our clocks ahead one hour tonight. I guess we have to give back those extra hours we gained on the way to Hawaii. 😄….. Coming up next: A much needed sea day after four straight port days, then the weather started getting rough…..

This is my hubby btw! 10 years today! ❤ Today, as in June 13? I thought we were the only "crazy" ones to pic the 13th (June) for our wedding day. Hey, it worked for us, 27 years today and still happy together. Loved your hubby's comment, btw! LOL!!! Happy #10 for you and wishing you many, many more. It will go fast, believe me. Jeff, sorry for the hijack (I believe that's now hijack #2 in your review). I just saw that comment and had to reply. I am really enjoying your review and Patti has really gotten some great pictures, wow!!! I also love getting a lot of pictures and try for pictures of the inside of the ship/venues when they are empty too. I was up super early on one of the mornings on our last cruise in 2015 for those pics, but several of the venues had the doors closed and locked and some were being cleaned. Really enjoyed seeing the "Big Island" through your words and Patti's camera since we didn't get there. It's gorgeous! Holly

Rare Jamman54 Posted June 14, 2019 Author #474 Share Posted June 14, 2019 Day # 19 (May 6th) - Sea Day # 5. Here are today’s Fun Times….. We were up at 7 am to a partly sunny day. The seas are fairly calm and the temperature is 79 degrees. Here are the views from our balcony looking forward and aft….. Looking at the map channel you can see we are leaving Hawaii behind….. We decided to skip breakfast this morning and went right to the morning show. The crew this morning was Lee, Tyler, and Conner. Lee demonstrated his butt racing prowess…… To be continued…….
Rare Jamman54 Posted June 14, 2019 Author #475 Share Posted June 14, 2019 After the Morning Show, Patti and I went to visit our buds at the Splendido Pool Bar on the starboard side. Here is the crew, Ruther, Komang, and Amarsha….. Ruther makes a special mocha chocolate getaway for Patti….. Samson heads out with a tray of Miami vices in souvenir glasses….. On the Lido stage Junior is entertaining us with some Calypso music,,,,, We were a little hungry, and since they were serving lunch now, Patti got a salad and I got a couple of cheeseburgers from the Grille. I went to play blackjack for a few hours and I wound up winning a couple of hundred dollars. It’s about time! Patti went to Bean Bag Toss Bingo…… She wound up winning. Here is her winning card. The win wasn’t for the straight line bingo, but rather for the group of nine numbers….. She won $500 automatically. Now she had to throw five bean bags. For each bean bag that went in the hole she would get an additional $200. If she threw all five bean bags into the hole, she would receive $2,000. She didn’t win any additional money for throwing the bean bags into the hole, but she was very close three times. Great job babe!
