I've read lots of reports of people having to queue for the Horizon Court on this ship and lots complaining it's to small.

What's your experiences ?

And has it changed since the dry dock , I believe its now called something else but I'm not sure of the name.

Does anyone have pics since the revamp or have a link to pictures ?

We were on the Emerald right out of dry dock in April -- as mentioned Horizon Court is now WFM. We were not fans of the food on previous ships with WFM, but Princess has made a big effort to upgrade the buffet -- lots of variety and different items. We had a head chef from corporate onboard supervising the roll out. You should like the new omelet station towards the back -- they now have restaurant style pagers -- no more slips of paper. We did not experience long lines. They also rolled out the new silver ware/napkin holders on the tables -- much more convenient.

My experience:

Some backups and crowds during peak breakfast and lunch hours. Some difficulty in finding tables during these times. You probably will have to search for tables in all areas near the buffet serving lines and in the rear, Planks and Steamers sections.

During dinner times the buffet is not crowded, and there are plenty of tables.

The aft sections are now Planks and Steamers. There is no charge for these areas during breakfast and lunch. During dinner they operate as specialty restaurants, $12/pp.

Dinner opens at 5:30 -- there is a little rush for the buffet for about 10 mins, then no problem. People start drifting in around 5:00 to secure a preferred table.

We found a table that we really liked, so we would show up around 5:00.

Does the Emerald serve items at the buffet in those little cardboard containers similar to the CB?

We didn't like the items at the buffet sitting under the heat lamps & much prefer the items to be sliced as needed.

For omelets we have always handed a copy of the slip to a crewmember who would bring back the omelet when ready. Did you have to go get them?

We were on the Caribbean Princess at the end of August and dined on Planks. We were allowed to pay for one and share the meat plate. We also each got all of the sides with the meal.

Had we known that at the time we could have been able to go twice.
