Do you have 10% Spanish tax added, when in port in Spain and or Spanish waters? C an someone confirm please. Based on a round trip from Southampton.

Yes you do.

Definately on drinks and I assume everything else.

I think the Spanish tax is only applied to drinks and once the ship is clear of the port it is no longer added.

I may be wrong John, but I am pretty sure it applied from port to port in Spanish waters on our recent cruise.

It only seemed to be removed when we got closer to Guernsey on our way back.

I don't believe it should have Andy, if you still have your receipts I would query this with P&O as you should be due a refund.

Tax was only added to ours when we were sat in the port before sailing again. Definitely didn’t get charged when actually on the water (out at sea etc) even between ports as I have the records of what I paid tax on and I paid it between 12-5 on the two days we were at Spanish ports but not during the evenings.

It is not just on drinks either.  We bought 2 ice creams on the ship in the afternoon whilst in Cadiz and the tax was added on to those as well.
