We left the cruise terminal and started our post cruise adventures!

IMG_1181-L.jpg

We all headed out of the city toward Trace and Maria's house in Conneticut. They had invited us to stay a few days and we were going to some activities around New England.

The car service took us to Stamford, Connecticut where we picked up the rental car.

IMG_1189-L.jpg

This Nissan Armada would be the vehicle to take us to our destinations.

IMG_1197-L.jpg

We got to their place and relaxed for a short bit. They then took us out to Foxwoods, so we could get another Hard Rock location.

IMG_1198-L.jpg

I would love to go back to Foxwoods to eat at Guy's Kitchen and Bar.

We got the goods from Foxwoods and then headed to the Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort for Dinner.

Trace had made reservations at Todd English's Tuscany.

Maria got the Fish of the Day entrée

IMG_1200-L.jpg

Trace, Susan, and I each got the Chicken Parmesan.

IMG_1201-L.jpg

We went and played a little before heading back to Trace and Maria's house. We also had an early morning the next day, as it was our New York City day!

The next morning we got up early and headed to Stratford, Ct to catch the Metro North Railroad to Grand Central Station.

IMG_1203-L.jpg

We were all a bit tired, and dozed off and on on the ride in.

Thanks for this great review!

It’s been several years since we have been on the dawn,  quick question...can you use one of your “sdp meals” at Los lobos with an upcharge or did you just pay a la carte?

I read your review in one sitting, if you already answered this question in an earlier post I obviously missed it....apologizing in advance!

You are welcome.

Los Lobos just requires an sdp meal with no additional upcharge. Ocean Blue is a sdp + an upcharge. We used sdp meals on both of our trips to Los Lobos. We used another for Teppanyaki, and paid for Moderno which we got one free.

One World Trade Center

Standing at the site of the towers was emotional. I might live on the other side of the country, but I was affected September 11th, 2001 when planes were hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center. Stepping foot at the footprints was a surge of emotions.

At the same time it was amazing to be there.
