OV guarantee?

I've never selected this category before as I've always been assigned a cabin number.  What can I expect if I choose this?

Curious if it's an OV, how bad can it be, compared to an interior guarantee. 🙂

If we knew the ship, we could possibly offer more info with regard to obstructions, etc.

Bad news, there are a large number of obstructed OV staterooms on MJ.  I would hate an OV on deck 7, whose windows are convenient eye level for those on the outside promenade deck.

I booked an OV Guarantee on Anthem and enjoyed the location quite a bit. If I recall correctly, when you are assigned a stateroom after booking guarantee you can call RCI and try to change your room to any other room within that same category (or lower, if you want, I guess).  I did this when I booked Inside Guarantee and got a much better location.  Of course, YMMV.

RC is making guarantee assignments later and later, in part, I believe, to keep people from doing this.
