Can we make an 11:15 flight?

We arrive on the MSC Meraviglia on a Sunday morning (7 AM).  We are sailing in the Yacht Club and can be escorted off the ship as soon as she is cleared.  We have Global Entry (does that matter at a cruiseport??) and will have a private shuttle pre-booked.  My husband uses a mobility scooter and I can handle our two pieces of luggage.  The big question is:  Can we easily make an 11:15 AM flight out of MIA?

Arriving at POM or PE?

 

For an 11:15 flight you need to be at the airport by about 9:45, and earlier is better. The ride from POM to MIA on a Sunday will take about 15-20+ minutes, plus some time to load your scooter and bags. Should be fine.  From PE to MIA will take about 35-45+ minutes; you don't have any wiggle room in your schedule but should be okay.

Yep, port arriving at is a critical piece of info.

 

I agree with JohninDC. If arriving at PortMiami, you should be OK. I wouldn't try for that early a flight if you are arriving at Port Everglades.

Should be easy to make.  For Global Entry, BRING YOUR CARD!!!!  There is no passport scanner, if you don't have your card, no bueno.  11:15, if priority disembark, carry your bags off with YC would be easy to make a flight regardless of Miami/Fll or any combination.  This is no problem at all.  You'll end up quite early at the airport.

Thanks to everyone for your responses.  We are out of POM.

 

But MUCH THANKS to BNBR for the tip about Global Entry!!  We usually have our cards but it would be our luck that would be the one time we didn't!!

We have an 11:15 out of MIA from POM also 7AM disembark. We made a 12 with room to spare even without doing self assist and doing a shared Uber last year after the navigator. It was during the week too. Happy sailing! We are on NCL Encore.

Wait a minute. You have or had a noon departure? Or a 11:15? Which is it? You were, or will be on NCL Encore. Not a very clear or concise recommendation here. Not the most informative recommendation or post...

We missed a 12:15 flight out of Miami. Ship was a little late due to weather and customs was short an agent or two. 

Answer? Yes you can make it if you don't have any of the problems we experienced.
