Best balcony cabins on Oasis class

Hello, I never sailed on Oasis class before, so I need advice on the best deck and location (near fore or aft elevators?)for balcony cabins. I've tried to research this here on Cruise Critic, to no avail.

Thanks!

I like being on a higher deck, but one that is between 2 passenger decks, so my choice is deck 11.  I like being as close to the aft elevator as possible.  Even when we have had cabins right off the elevator area, we have not had noise problems and it was very convenient.

The things we have the most interest in are not far from the aft elevators and even when we dine in the specialty restaurants on deck  8, it's a short walk from that elevator.  We have done both ocean view balconies and Boardwalk balconies.  We've done them on both Allure and Harmony.

I find the Boardwalk balconies fun as I love people watching and I totally enjoy sitting out on the balcony and watching the people below.  I also feel it's different from the usual balconies we book on non-Oasis class ships.

We did have one balcony on Allure that was the closest to the aft and it seemed like a forever walk to get to the elevators.  It wasn't bad in the morning when we got up and out, but by the end of the day, after going to the cabin a few times, it got to be a looooooong walk.

My choice would not be a Central Park balcony as I find that area hot and humid and I would not be comfortable sitting out on the balcony overlooking the park, even though I would love the music etc.

I'm sure you will get lots of different answers and there is no right or wrong as it depends upon what is important to you.  I'm sure you will enjoy whichever one you choose.

If you can find a website for the cruise deck plans you can see the different room categories and what's around. I wouldn't book any cabins on deck 14 since you will be beneath the pool, sports deck and other noisy areas. The inside balconies that overlook Central Park and the Promenade can be noisier and people across from you can sometimes see in with the curtains open. We actually prefer the cabins farther from the elevators. It helps some with all the good food. :classic_biggrin:

Thanks for the info. I have another question about cabin 11668 on Oasis. Is it right across from the entrance to the hallway of cabins? I don't want a cabin that everyone sees from the stair area. I hope I am making sense. Is 11664 better or worse?

I know exactly what you mean and I would pass on that cabin. When you open your door you will be looking directly across the ship to the cabin on the other side, if their door was open you would see the ocean.  That being said you will not see the stairs or the elevators, you need to turn left or right to climb the stairs or walk into  the elevator waiting area . 11664 would be a better choice for us. We always go to deck 12 forward for Oasis class cabins, there are about 100 fewer cabins on deck 12 from the front elevators going forward.  happy cruising

I like deck 6 for these reasons:

- same deck as Boardwalk / AquaTheater aft and Spa forward.

- Diamond Lounge (if you are Diamond or higher) is only down 2 decks on deck 4.

- walk down one deck to the Promenade.

- walk down one deck to walking / jogging track.

- walk down two decks to Casino and Amber theater.

- walk up 2 decks to Central Park where we eat enjoy the specialty restaurants.

- walk down 1 or 2 decks to Main Dining Room.

So most of the time we do not need to bother with elevators and just take the stairs up down 1 or 2 decks for the majority of our activities. The exception is going to/from the pool deck 15.
