Fall987 Posted August 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2019 This is first time we will need an electric scooter when cruising. How do u charge it. We r using carnival and will have one outlet. Will we overload the outlet if we charge the battery with it. Thank u in advance
GUT2407 Posted August 6, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2019 No worries and every charger I’ve had is. Multi voltage one thing I’ve noticed is that it takes longer to charge than when I’m at home where they are 240v outlets.
Rare Essiesmom Posted August 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2019 There will be a 220/240v outlet in the cabin, usually right next to the 110 outlet. The scooter will likely be dual voltage, so all you would need is a plug adapter. Most of them are EU type outlets, but I know of at least a couple that are UK outlets (Fascination and Fantasy). mets123 Posted August 6, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2019 If you're renting from scootaround.com, don't worry about it.
chengkp75 Posted August 7, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2019 Even a charger rated at 5 amps (not something you take as a portable charger), only draws less than 2 amps of input current (120v), so on a 15 or 20 amp circuit in your cabin, you will be fine. Using the 220v outlet will draw even less current than the 120v outlet.

Joseph2017China Posted August 16, 2019 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2019 charging a battery takes less power than a hair dryer so you will be fine.
