Oh, yikes, what court case?  I'm not a heavy mascara user but it helps.

Straws are a problem.  So they're part of the problem.  The list is long.  Start with the easy stuff if you wish.  Like plastic straws.

 

I was just unloading the dishwasher.  Here are four straws that I brought home with me.  They came in drinks.  The long ones are plastic and the short ones are paper.

Don't forget "reduce", then reuse and recycle.  Getting rid of it where possible is the first step...hence the straw ban.

What does Oceania use for pool drink cups? Glass? What about breakage? Every hotel I know uses plastic cups at the pool for safety reasons.

Oops, I didn't include the photos and have deleted.  And I skipped the fact that those straws were already in the drawer where I was putting other things 🙂  No, I don't wash the paper straws 🙂   Sorry for not communicating better!

Thanks.  And yes.  This thread, as contentious as it's been at times, has made me realize how much I work to reduce my personal footprint.

I do believe that is what first started all this 'packaging' waste.  BUT it has now come to the point of the ridiculous.  Why does a deodorant need to be packaged in a cardboard box, for instance?

People need to write to the Companies  that over package  things

Stop buying products that are over packaged

why do they  need to wrap green peppers in plastic  anyway?

We seemed to have shopped for many years without having fruist & veg wrapped separately

And if a produce item is dry I don't put it in its own bag.

We've switched to Mesh produce bags. love them!!  My  husband had the worst habit of buying bananas and putting them in a bag...errrrrrr
