Ever notice the first day back to work is the hardest?

 

 Back to the trip report.

 

We were on the ship by 11:14... sliders and fries for everyone!  Malbec for me!  Yes day drinking is fun!

Next up... the kids club.  Sara is 12 going on 45.  She looked around and you could see she wasn’t thrilled.

 

nothing more entertaining than speaking to a man named Froggy while sitting in chairs for a 3 year old.😂😂😂

We had a forward facing suite #11106.

 

I am in love!  Never going back to genpop based only on the room!

 

Note the photos are before Midget decided our room was for the tween hang sessions.  I should have charged per kid😂😂😂.

 

Free room service, free movies and there are seats other than a bed.  Yep, I had my own kids club going during our 3 hour tour!

The Haven suites get free Margaritaville lunch on embarkation day

 

Margarita’s, deconstructed nachos (another theme..Midget is a bit of a carbevore), pretzels, chips with salsa and guacamole 

 

Food was was really good and service was excellent!  Just some background we typically do not eat at chains and I used to be a waitress at a country club.  Keep that in mind when reading my food comments.

Next we explore!  We haven’t had a handstand in a few posts.. not many people can say they did a handstand on a cruise ship

Next up the beginning our our crew for our trip.  We had a sail away meetup.  Everyone worn Mardi Gras beads so we knew who was part of the group.

Back to our room to get ready for dinner.  I realized I never took a picture from the balcony.  Sara was happy to oblige.  Also, came back to many gifts. Now here’s where we get a bit rocky...

 

Don’t misunderstand me, I appreciate gifts however, I made it very clear to the preconcierge that I had an allergy to grapes.  The last grape I ate sent me to the ER.  My daughter however loves them.  The instructions I gave were as follows:

 

grapes and blueberries may be delivered but the need to be separated from all other food.  Think first date...no touching!

 

Both fruit bowls had grapes in them and the canapé had grapes...no snack for me😢.  I know what you’re thinking...Lisa, there are chocolate covered strawberries... Sara ate them faster then I could say..can I have one?   Yet another theme...

 

To add to my dismay was the fruit in the bowl and basket were moldy...🤢

 Bedroom. The balcony is in #27.  In the forward facing suite you have a front and a side view

Hello Monday!!!

My friend was on this cruise and just getting home later tonight from New Orleans. We did an Alaskan cruise together on the Bliss and then he got a spot on this after a family member canceled.  He’s spent a lot of time with NCL this last month.

Today is meet and greet time!

 

The good:  the ship provided LaCucina for our events.  They supplied name tags and  8 or 9 officers 

 

The bad: we had 96 people rsvp but only 30 or so showed up.

 

Apologies, I didn’t take any pictures as I was so embarrassed.  

 

Activities we planned:

 

kids photo scavenger hunt

slot pull

gift exchange 

crazy hat pub crawl (little did we know the whole trip would be a pub crawl 😂)

 

slot pull we all contributed $20 and received $9 back

 

The cocktail is a bourbon and water😂😂😂😂
