Since I have some time to kill at the NOLA airport, I might as well get started..

The day started really early Friday August 23rd.  We arrived at the Buffalo International airport.  You will begin to see a theme as I go through this review.  Handstands, alcohol and food..

TSA was a breeze.  Sara and I have pre-check.  Doug does not.  He gets to go through the medical line.  Let me tell you, we have been living like peasants.  I will never fly without TSA pre-check.

We started the day off with a handstand on the people mover. Started out flight with mimosas and whiskey.  After a brief layover in Baltimore and a short shopping trip to Pandora, we were on our was to Miami.

So sit right back and you’ll hear a tale..a tale of a fateful trip...

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale without incident.  We ordered a Lyft.  The guy pulls up and says my trunk is full, you have too much stuff and he drives away...

i ordered another Lyft and we were off to Miami.

We we stayed at Marriott Biscayne Bay.  Beautiful property.  I asked for an upgrade and they delivered..

we we had some issues with the restaurant...we’ll done burger came out rare...my quesadilla came out loaded with onion (after I asked for no onions).

Restaurant manager comped our bill and then later personally delivered a bottle of wine to our room.

We spent some quality time around the hotel.  This place has an underground mall  and a few independent restaurants.  We went to Casablanca on the Bay Friday night.  The food was awful.  I shared a ribeye with my daughter.  We ordered it rare, it came out well.  Service was mediocre.  The only thing good was the wine and the view.

Then it was time for some shopping and a handstand.

The next morning, we waited for the Biscayne Trolley for 45 minutes- they are supposed to come every 15 minutes.

We ended up on the metro mover to see the town.  It’s free and reliable.  We saw some really cool sites.

Anyone starting to see a theme??

We finally found a great restaurant where the drinks, food and service were awesome.  There was a Cuban coffee bar in the same mall attached to the Marriott. $6 empanadas. They were outstanding!  We went to a really cool art shop.  If you have $45k laying around, you could own your very own predator!  To put size into context, Doug is 6’7”

we met up with some people from our meet and greet (call it a pre m&g).  They helped me drink my bottle of wine.

more handstands in the hallway
