Rhapsody ATM?

It's been awhile since I've been on a RC cruise. I recall they had an ATM machine but I didn't use it. Since we will be on the Rhapsody (in Europe), will the ATM give out Euros? What is the fee for using it? How's the exchange rate onboard?

On some ships with multiple ATMs, I've seen one for USD and one for Euros when in Europe. However, this is not universal, and I only remember one ATM on Rhapsody, but that could have changed.

 

I would not depend on using the ship's ATM, because it is not uncommon for it to be out of service.  Your best ATM rate will be at a bank ATM in the port city.

The one in the casino dispenses USD, while the one near GS dispenses Euros.

Thanks for the info! Don't really like to use ATMs but may need to if we run low on funds!

I used the cash machine by Guest Services on Rhapsody in late July - definitely recieved Euros.  I took out 600 euro and my checking account was debited $684 USD, so not the best exchange rate, but not the worst I got in Europe, either. 

 

If you use a cash machine on land, try to find one attached to a legit bank as opposed to free-standing ones.  I'm pretty sure you get better rates at the bank-affiliated ones.

Reminds me first Cruising 25-30 yrs ago. One cruise couldnt get money out ship ATM back then, to withdraw from it was overseas so my CU locked up my account.

Other poster is correct, Euros just near Guest Services. Exchange rate not good plus I was charged a 6 Euro fee. It's handy if you need it.
