Cruises without Previous Cruiser discount fare?

Does Princess not always offer some kind of discounted fare, even if it is not much, to previous Princess cruisers?  Just out of the blue, I saw an itinerary and pulled it up, and the fare stays the same if I am logged in or not.  This is the current promo, with the $100.00 deposit.  I guess I had assumed that there would be some discount in the fare.

When is it?

I have had some stay the same whether logged in or not.

I get the same fare either way.

However, I won't book it myself online anymore because my TA or talking to a Princess rep directly has gotten me fares much lower then I am seeing published on Princess website.

dog ... what kind of cruises are those on? - any kind in particular ?  do you have an assigned Princess rep, or do you just make a general call to get reduced prices directly from Princess lower than the website prices ?

Everything I look at-I do comparisons with any Princess rep, online Princess, my long time TA in Ont., and other online travel agencies.

My TA has been most effective in getting me lower fares, like last Feb. a $1700 savings after final payment on my South America cruise.

It just takes a lot of time with me doing the checking. I'd prefer to have the best price online at the beginning of my search, without perks, and a refundable deposit.

We have used a TA that offers the usual TA percentage discount, and sometimes some onboard credit, etc.  I have been thinking about calling, but haven't yet.  We are just thinking ahead and curious.  I wasn't planning to book another cruise like this, but just happened upon this new itinerary that I had not seen before!  I had kind of ruled this out last year, because none of the itineraries seemed great.

We looked at one HAL cruise before, and calling their cruise reps got the highest quote out there.  That is not good!!!

Be cautious with Princess too---read the fine print if you don't want a non refundable deposit. A lot of the recent "sales" have that condition. You can call and ask for a refundable deposit fare. It does take some effort to watch for the price drops. My TA does not do that for me but is always willing to check when I ask her to.

The email from our TA often lists "x" cruise line offering savings to previous customers but usually with Princess it is those launch savings already mentioned.  Certainly have gotten many casino offers, even not playing that much.  Best for us was $99 inside/$199 for balcony on a 7 day sailing.

That is a great fare!
