Freedom of the Seas - timing for first Muster Drill

Recommended Posts

It’s been a few years since we sailed from San Juan on Royal Caribbean, but I remember that they held the muster drill on the morning after embarkation day while we were at sea. At least back then, the rule was that the muster had to be performed within 24 hours of the beginning of the cruise. Does anybody know if that rule still applies?

Thanks Bob! I did searches for Freedom Muster and didn't find anything... I didn't even THINK to check Cruise Compasses. :classic_blush:

Thanks to the posters who do the hard work and scan/post the Compasses.

Nope. It’s done before you leave port. Kind of a goofy rule to have to have it within 24 hours of setting sail. An emergency could happen at any time.

It is normally at 5:15pm the boarding day.

I know that with Freedom's sailings out of San Juan, she has two different Muster Drills.

Can anyone that has sailed on her recently tell me what time the first Muster Drill is?  Thanks in advance 🙂

We did a B2B cruise on the Freedom March 2019. Muster, 5:45 PM. All dining times moved back 30 minutes.

TWO muster drills?

Since when???

We did a B2B cruise on the Freedom March 2019. There are two muster drills. The first one is at 5:45 PM and the second one is at 8:30 PM for all guests that boarded the ship after 5:15 PM. The second muster drill is held in the conference center, deck 2.
