Rare Honolulu Blue Posted October 14, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2019 I have a cruise on Carnival that starts on October 27 and ends on November 10. My question is will we get the October movies for the whole cruise, the November movies for the whole cruise, or the October movies in October and the November movies in November? Thank you for your thoughtful, informative responses.
khewston Posted October 14, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2019 I am wondering the same thing. Our cruise starts on November 30 and ends December 8.
dcwalker Posted October 15, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2019 Before I went on a cruise from 9/28-10/5 I wondered the same thing. Now I'm here to report that I'm pretty sure that we had movies from the September list for the entire cruise.
NCTribeFan Posted October 15, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2019 Also believe that we had whatever movies were showing when we boarded; no change during the cruise.
bakersdozen12 Posted October 15, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 15, 2019 If you ever really look at the movie list from month to month, you'll see that they don't change a whole lot. Maybe a few drop off and a few new ones are added. But a lot of movies from one month are still played in the next month. And they never play all of the movies on the list, so you really have no way of knowing ahead of time what movies will be playing anyway; you can only get a rough idea.
tandemcruzr Posted October 15, 2019 #6 Share Posted October 15, 2019 What's a "Dine In" Movie?

I think it's where you go to the Lido buffet, pile on a bunch of food on a plate then head down with your piled on plate of food from the Lido buffet to the swimming pool to watch a Dive In Movie. 😁

I wish Carnival offered a dine in movie when we get stuck with an assigned table in the MDR when YTD is full 😉
pacruise804 Posted October 15, 2019 #9 Share Posted October 15, 2019 Either a typo for Dive In Movies which typically shown on the big screen on an upper deck near a pool, or the on-demand movies you can watch in your cabin (either complimentary or a small charge depending on the movie) and dine in by ordering room service. We had a very rough sea day on our last cruise and enjoyed watching several new-to-us movies in our cabin and ordering room service since husband wasn't up for much more than a grilled cheese and some pretzels. We could pause the movie if needed, no wind or rain, and less risk of noisy neighbors.
Rare Honolulu Blue Posted October 15, 2019 Author #10 Share Posted October 15, 2019 It's a typo. I meant "dive in". I apologize. Thank you for the replies so far.

Rare Honolulu Blue Posted November 26, 2019 Author #12 Share Posted November 26, 2019 UPDATE: On our cruise they actually showed all the movies scheduled for November but only some that were scheduled for October (that weren't duplicates). They did show the special Halloween-themed movies. So I guess that answers that.
