How Does The Vero Bottle System Work?

DW and I are wondering what to expect on board.

We are not big alcohol drinkers.

Drinking water is our thing.

We understand they are reducing plastic bottle use and waste.

Are you issued a refillable Vero bottle when boarding?

Are the bottles refillable around the ship during the day?

Are you given clean bottles upon request?

Do you only get one refill in a bottle a day?

Totally confused on the process.

Thanks for the answers in advance.

There is a bottle of Vero water in your cabin.  It is refreshed each day, more if you need it.  Just ask the room attendant.  My DH prefers sparking water, so we had a fresh bottle of still and one of sparkling with every room cleaning.  You do not carry the bottle around.  It is rather large and heavy glass. We did not drink directly from the bottle, but filled out water glasses from this larger bottle.    When eating, your water glass will be filled with water from Vero water bottles versus the water pitcher they used to use.  The bottles in the rooms are cleaned in a commercial dishwasher.  I saw them delivering them to the crew service area.  I assume they are filled there as well.

So what happens if you want a drink of water at the pool? Do you have to ask every time? And we generally carry a bottle of water off the ship at ports especially in hot weather?

No problem getting water around pool, off the ship they still provide plastic water bottles. Love new Vero system, you could look use the  Vero water in room to fill your personal water bottle if needed. Love also the idea of fewer plastic water bottles being consumed.

well you could  get up & go to the Terrace or Waves Bar & ask for a glass  of water

The pool boys are usually walking around asking if you would like  drinks sometimes they have a tray with water glasses

It is not usually a problem

You could always bring your personal reusable water bottle   with you  ..we have done that before

Do they still have the single use water bottles in the fridge  in the cabins?

Hi Lyn,

We just did 54 days on Riviera & Sirena and the answer is NO.   Only single use bottles are at gangways.

We just went past the table at gangways and picked a couple/several to put in our cabin fridge.   Easy.

Look forward to seeing you on December 11th in St. Lucia.
