Royal Caribbean 'The Key' and Sydney Harbour Port

I know that 'The Key' description states that '* Priority check-in and boarding will not be offered in Vancouver, Canada or at any ports in Australia.'

Does anyone who has departed from Sydney Harbour recently, know if this is still correct?  Or do they now have 'The Key' priority check in?

May make difference if we decide to get or not.

I have 3 RC cruises over the Christmas period and they all offer the Key.

lowest price I have seen is $AU 20.50 per day.

When you take in in the internet and other bits and pieces it is attractive at that price.

What do you actually get with the Key? It seems the Soda and voom will give me best value, but don’t really understand The Key.

I don’t think you get the soda package but you get the internet.

You have to pay for it for the whole voyage and I believe everyone in the cabin has to get it.

 It starts with priority boarding

They take your carry on bags and they are delivered to your cabin.

A private lunch on embarkation day, usually at chops.
Private sessions on the flow rider ( which can add up to hundreds of dollars if not more) and rock climbing. Also more activities depends on the ship.

VIP seating at functions and entertainment.

Priority tender and disembarkation.

I think if you’re into the activities it would definitely be worth it .

on the cruise planner a 1hour private season for your Group on the wave surfer was about $800.

Nor me.

Lunch on embarkation day and the priority tendering is the most attractive for me.

My onboard activities are being a lounge lizard by the pool bar.

Suites get most of those perks.

I suppose if you have a active family it would be good value without the expense of a suite.

Wow, my last post ended up a mess.

I was saying not a lot of value there for us. But for active families probably a great deal.

I always get a soft drink package and currently it’s only about $10 a day extra  for internet, so that may well be the go for us.

Agreed, active families would likely get better value.
