njcruisefan Posted December 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2019 On a 7 night cruise what nights are dress up ( chic ) nights?
sound_guy0918 Posted December 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2019 Typically it's the first and last "at sea" day, but it depends on the itinerary.
Rare Georgia_Peaches Posted December 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2019 Agree with first and last sea day...in our experience the Chic night dress was more chic on the first night and not as much on the second.
TFLG Posted December 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 5, 2019 (edited) I thought it was night 2 and night 6, but I've been wrong before (once 😉 ). We did the western carib on the Equinox and I remember the first chic night was day 2 (key west), don't actually recall if the second night was day 5 or day 6 (probably a result of the beverage package clouding my memories 😂) . I'll find out in about 80 days tho. Edited December 5, 2019 by TFLG
deliver42 Posted December 5, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 5, 2019 It is 2 and 6.
blueboro Posted December 5, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2019 I know they typically try to have it on an early and later sea day but don't think this itinerary lends itself to that. I have never seen a Chic night on the last night so assume it must be Grand Cayman night.
keensie Posted December 14, 2019 #7 Share Posted December 14, 2019 We just got off the Equinox on the 7th. It was 2nd night (sea day) and 6th night (Grand Caymen).
miched Posted December 14, 2019 #8 Share Posted December 14, 2019 Every night can be “dress up” if you choose. The nights that are “formal” or smart chic doesn’t really mean anything as the “formal” code isn’t enforced and people dress from min to the nines Formal nights use to mean something when people got dressed for the formal portraits but most are now seasoned cruisers and no longer do that or want more pictures. Even many of the rookies would rather have their “portraits” (snap shots). In casual dress because that is how and what they are, not stuffed shirts. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
