Princess Suites

2old4this, I just finished reading your journal. We have cruised to Hawaii from LA twice.

We also lived there for 3 years while my husband was stationed on Oahu. Hawaii has an

ambiance that is so calming and enjoyable.

Thank you for sharing! Aloha!

Any more photos of the Owner's Suite on the Sky Princess.  Do they bring back the extra space to allow for a dining table and chairs which the Penthouse suites lack?  Is there noise from the Vista Lounge on the deck below?

Thanks in advance!

As for water, we were given two bottles everyday whether we drank them or not.  With the WIFI package, I paid while at home $199 for the two weeks, I could use the WIFI one computer or phone at a time.  There were three in my suite which means we bumped each other off the system as we needed to search or send an email.  No problem!  Two of us slept on twins in the bedroom.  Our third on the couch which became a double bed easily and quickly.  All three of us slept well.  The suite balcony is two cabins wide has a table with chairs and two comfortable lounges.  Privacy walls made the balcony a favorite place for coffees and rolls.  Our bathtub had a wild water flow for relaxation and the shower enclosure large for a big person.  People left their wheel chairs and walkers closed up and outside the doorways.  Our cabin staffer was to us and doing our requests as fast as we could think of something to make we three happier.  As I wrote earlier, you make your travel in a suite, it was my first time after many cruises, and the cruise becomes something very special, if for no other reason but space and country club living.  I don't work for Princess.  I know it crossed your mind, dear reader.

Hello.  New to cruising.
I have read it is against ships rules for safety reasons, walkers, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters are not allowed in hallways.  It that not true for passengers in Suites?

Same rule applies to suites. One reason I book suites is so I have the room for a scooter or rollator for DW. She used a rented rollator when in the Owners Suite. However. we met a couple in CC dining where the husband was using a three-wheel rollator. It easily folded up to get past the service carts while I ended up lifting the large rollator over them at times. I've since purchased a three-wheeler and intend to take it with us next time rather than rent. Cheap enough to consider disposable. May leave it somewhere along the way back.

Yes, there are rules to face when you leave gear in the hallways.  I had a neighbor, several cabins from mine, who folded his wheelchair and parked it flat against the wall in  the hall.  Perhaps his cabin steward did nothing about it.

When you leave it, John_Galt, anyplace but the hallway.  Kidding, my friend, kidding.

How about the balcony?

Balcony was very nice. We dragged two of the wooden chairs around to the side and watched the world go by. I knew going in that this room didn't have a proper table and chairs in the room. There was plenty of room for them. Not sure why Princess didn't see fit to include them. Club Class dining was very nice and we never saw a reason to order from the MDR menu for delivery to the room. CC dining was even open on embarkation day! I was pleasantly surprised. This was my first time back with Princess after two sailings in a PH on the Celebrity Constellation. I missed the butler but X has now priced that room beyond my pain threshold. It sat eight for dinner.

Perhaps the Dolphin are the biggest?

Dolphin has very large balconies. Shows as 682 sq. ft. but that's a measurement cloned from the Regal. The Sky, Enchanted, and Discovery are about 4 feet wider so I'd guess they are well over 700 sq. ft.  I was originally booked in D727 on the Sky but upgraded when the Owners Suite became available and I refared under Getaway Sale. I'm booked in D726 on the Discovery for next year.

Thanks for the great photos.  These have made my decision for me.  My next suite will be this owner's suite!

Our steward, Arturo, for our Island Vista Suite has made some great towel animals on our current cruise, but he outdid himself this morning with this one!

Does Arturo tend to C 703?  I'm on Island in July 2020.  I would like to meet him.  Jack

No on table and chairs. Yes on noise from the Vista Lounge.

I'd book it again. Twice the size of a S4 PH (440 sq. ft. vs 879 sq. ft.).

It doesn't look like there is a curtain between the bedroom and sitting area.  Is that right?

I have sailed with NCL in suite for two weeks.  We used the butler twice;  really did not need him.  we used the concierge who escorted us on and off ship.  Have sailed twice with Princess and both times in suites.  We were escorted onboard both times, by a princess employee.  We were escorted off the first time; second time we just did self disembark.  I have also sailed in suite with Royal Caribbean.  Each cruise line has its different perks, so I guess you can choose which perks you think you would use the most; and then just choose that cruiseline.  Personally I like Royal Caribbean perks the best; but we sail Princess now because we like have a more relaxed time onboard the ship.  Royal has too much going on(ice skating, rock walls, water slides, ziplines, etc.  It feels like I am back at the jersey shore on the boardwalk.  So that is why we choose Princess.  We have a window suite booked on Sky for the New England/Canada in Oct.  We got the window suite for same price as mini;  I figure it will most likely be too cold to sit outside that time of year; so WS was best bang for the bucks.

I have almost no experience with suites, mini or otherwise, AF-1.  Used my first one on Grand Princess in November to Hawaii and back.  Loved it!  I enjoyed the perks and had a super relationship with my suite rep.  I will use a suite again on Island Princess in July, London, Iceland, New York.  Fully expect to enjoy the space and comforts for all 16 days.

At SF, I took the escort on boarding and did the same at disembarkation.  Best of all was the separated luggage reserved just for suites and elites, etc. as we left the ship.  I swear, gone are the days of long waits, misinformation, and poorly directed masses.  I have done Cunard, Regent, NCL, Holland America, and now Princess.  Yes, AF-1, Princess comes closer to my needs and interests because it is less directed toward children and teenagers.  No Ferriswheels, roller coasters, and climbing walls on top deck.  Jack

Nope. There is a curtain not shown in the photo. Runs between the two X's. However, the bedroom is so far from the living room that the wife slept well, without the curtain drawn, while I watched TV.
