Sun Queen II Posted January 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2020 Hi all, we are looking at booking a beach day while in Nassau on our upcoming cruise in March. We found some options through a site called resortforaday.com and I’m wondering if anyone has ever used this site. Or are there better options for us. We wanted to find a hotel that offered a day pass to beach/pool with drinks and food. Thanks in advance!
Roccaforte Posted January 11, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2020 Try the Hilton Colonial on Bay Street. It’s walking distance from the port. They limit day passes and it sells out early. I think you can contact any of the beach hotels online to make a reservation.
Rare ORV Posted January 12, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2020 You would probably get more replies on the Bahamas Ports Of Call board.

Wishing on a star Posted January 12, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2020 I would not have any problem with ResortForADay. But, you might also be able to come out ahead by contacting the resorts in the area, directly. You would have to call that resort front desk. You won't see this online. We have done Atlantis by booking the hotel across the street. Assuming they still are affiliated. I think in Nassau RFAD might also provide the transportation? But, if you can book a day-room or just a room, even if you aren't there overnight, you can taxi there and back at your convenience. Sometimes the RFAD later pickup and early return can limit your time at the resort. (Just don't cut it too close for getting back onboard!) edgee Posted January 13, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2020 We have used Resorts for a Day a about 5 times. Sometimes they have availability when the hotels themselves are not selling any more slots. They have varying quality among their properties. One good thing is that they request a rather small deposit in advance with the bulk of the cost to be paid on arrival at the property. So if the weather is not good we have sometimes forfeited our (usually less than $30) deposit. Booking with the hotels themselves can mean varying payment arrangements...sometimes must be in advance.

So if $30 is a modest deposit, what would you expect to pay on average.

The $30 modest deposit was per couple. Total cost per person is usually between $60 and $135 per person including lunch and possible all inclusive bar. Perhaps as low as $50 per person if food and drink are extra. Deposits are usually between $15 and $25 per person which goes to Resort for a Day as their commission. Then the balance is usually paid at the front desk of the hotel.
