ramdoggiesmom Posted January 12, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2020 15th NCL Cruise but first one in the Haven. Leaving out of NOLA on 2/2/20. Very excited. My question is are the Haven rooms generally ready if you board around noon?
stefmaia Posted January 12, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Not always, the steward is responsible for many rooms as in genpop. You can leave your stuff in the room most of the time. The Haven lounge, bar and restaurant will be open, and the concierge will be doing his welcome speech and asking if you need any help with reservations etc.
Two Wheels Only Posted January 12, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Many variables... The highest suites (Garden Villa, DOS, OS) are usually done first but that doesn't mean that other suites won't be ready by noon. The previous guest(s) may have stayed as late as possible which could cause a delay for you or could have left early which would give plenty of time for the stateroom to be ready when you board. Don't stress it.
ramdoggiesmom Posted January 12, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Thanks for the replies. I’m ok with whenever the room is ready, was just curious. Excited to see what all the Haven has to offer.

Falckon Posted January 13, 2020 #7 Share Posted January 13, 2020 We usually have lunch at the Haven restaurant at noon, when they open, and our cabin is usually ready by the time we are done.
don't-use-real-name Posted January 13, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2020 Since you will be given an escort to the Haven - your escort - your Butler will be able to provide you with all the information about what to do with your luggage and perhaps greeting the cabin steward in his duties of making ready your cabin. This is not at all like toting your luggage around in the Buffet or MDR --- Relax you will taken care of as would be expected. Since the Haven is a ship within a ship area - Security should be less of concern in control of your luggage.

My question is are the Haven rooms generally ready if you board around noon? No. They are available between 1:00 and 1:30 like all other rooms. Haven guest boarding starts by 11:00. You will be escorted to the Havens lounge where you'll get sliders and fries until one of the restaurants open for your lunch.

True if you are in the Haven complex. Over half the Haven rooms on big ships are outside the Haven complex with the "commoners". In either case, unscrupulous people exist in both locations and if you leave your belongings in unlocked rooms, you do it at your own risk. Also, if you decide to close your door, you will delay the preparation of your stateroom since very few crew members who service your room during turnover have master keys for entry. complawyer Posted February 6, 2020 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2020 there is no guarantee that your haven suite will be ready, but once you are checked in the concierge will take you to the haven restaurant for a nice comfortable lunch. eat, relax, have a glass of wine, andby around 1:30 your room should be ready. Fair warning: if you have never stayed in a haven suite with all its extra goodies, you may never book a lower category cabin again. its surprising how quickly one can get spoiled with the haven amenities
