Escape rooms onboard

Has anyone tried the escape room?  Particularly on Crown Princess?

Are there Private sessions for just your group?  Size of groups?  Cost?
Any hints or direction would be appreciated.

The cost was $8.00 per person on the Star Princess over Christmas. It was fun. We were a group of 5 and were joined by another 5 or 6 people. No hints or directions, that would lessen the fun. Our was held in the wedding chapel.

No one is going to provide hints or direction...... That would be unfair.

Lol. Not the kind of hints or direction I meant.
Where do we sign up?  Do we need to rush to do that?
if we just want it to be our group of 8, how could we arrange that?

That type of direction.
some of which have been answered. Thx!

Just did it on the Pacific over New Years.

No charge.

It was way more fun than we expected.

It was offered (if I remember correctly) for 4 time slots - 8 people each.

If you wanted all 8 slots you'd have to show up at the very beginning of sign ups.

I don't know about other ships but the room on the Pacific is small. Only 4 people showed up for our time slot but it turned out to be a good thing. 8 people would have been falling over each other.

Does anyone know if there is only one "mystery"?

It would be fun to do again but only if it was a different program.

The Escape Room differs from ship to ship. I've done The Magician's Escape Room and it was free and limited to something like 8 people at a time. It was held in the chapel or some room like that. You met at a location onboard to sign up and they took a bunch of applications for different times and days. I experienced this on two different ships. (Sadly, the second time turned out to be the same experience. Fortunately I didn't really remember what to do so it wasn't totally ruined and what I did vaguely recall I kept to myself so as not to spoil it for the others.) Recently I have read about dedicated escape rooms on new Princess ships. I believe they were charging something like $15 and it was a room designed specifically for the Escape Room experience.

I did it 1.5 years ago. There was a sign up in the Patter called "Escape the Room". I heard someone mention it and went to Passenger Services desk and they were clueless. I eventually found it in the Patter. If you want to ask someone about it, ask the CD staff as they run it.

They had a sign up (ours was in the Library) on the first sea day. I got there early and only half the people got a slot. There were 8 people to a session. All of our sessions were on port days but after we got back on the ship. If you want to get all 8 of you in a group, show up very early to get in line. We had a very long line.

Ours was free. I hear they charge now.

If you would like the solution, just say the word.

Unfortunately there is no grand prize for the fastest team. 😁

Shucks!  Was hoping to win world cruise 😉

Bragging rights.

We finished with (I think) 12 minutes to spare (out of the 30 they gave us) and they told us the best group they could remember finished with around 22.
