There is a reason why in a family cruise I won't boo kriggt next to family 😉 Edited January 26, 2020 by nyyhoneybee
Norwich Cruiser Posted January 26, 2020 #31 Share Posted January 26, 2020 We’ve never been disappointed when booking a guarantee stateroom. Perhaps we’ve been lucky but one was directly under the Windjammer Cafe and we never heard any early morning noise that I believe other cruisers may have encountered. Same here. 14 guarantees to date (Nordic Empress, Celebrity Horizon B2B, Norwegian Crown, Celebrity Galaxy, Star Princess, Celebrity Infinity, Norwegian Majesty, Quantum, Anthem x 3, Adventure, Grandeur), 1 more next month (Grandeur), and 1 more in November (Allure TA). Plus, we've had some nice upgrades with those guarantees. Edited January 26, 2020 by Another_Critic
livylotte Posted January 26, 2020 #33 Share Posted January 26, 2020 (edited) I've booked guarantees for balconies. We have done this for 2 cruises - Navigator and Explorer. The price difference between guarantee and picking our own cabin was significant so for me it was worth the risk. I was pleasantly surprised with both - we were given mid ship ones near the lifts. Neither were adjoining. It was a win for us but I wouldn't take the risk for a small price difference and unlike previous posters I'm cheap and would even book guarantee on Quantum if the price was low enough 😎 The only balcony guarantee I wouldn't book is one that doesn't guarantee an ocean view ie on Oasis.
