I’ve not asked in a mixed drink, but when ordering a Macallan, the bartender often asks me if i want a double. As im usually on a drink package, I don’t know the cost but they explain “do you want a double? Its one drink”

Probably easier for them that way- they don’t need to come back as quickly. 🙂

We've had responses both ways.  DW loves a double shot of Baileys in her afternoon cappuccino and the sometimes the staff say no, only one shot (so I order a shot of Baileys and pour my shot into hers) and other times there is no problem.  I guess it is how the individual staff member interprets the rules.

That's interesting.    Iain has a Double Bailey's every night at dinner instead of desert.   Never had a problem.  I guess you experienced a bartender that was really strict.   This is however ordered in  Luminae or Blu.
