Help! Midport parking at Port Everglades Holland America

Help! I am trying to find out if it's possible to reserve parking in advance for the Midport parking lot or garage at Port Everglades. I know it's possible with Park-n-Go and other shuttle services, but my father, who is elderly, wants to park as close as possible to the ship. He does not want to take a shuttle. On the Port Everglades website there are rates, etc, but no link to pre-purchase parking. I know it's a big lot, but my father is nervous that it will fill up.

To my knowledge there is no provision allowing you to reserve a space at any parking garage with the Port Everglades property. The Midport Garage is a large facility with plenty of parking spots available. If you arrive after 10:00AM you will be one of the first to park in the garage. By that time everyone from the previous sailings will have all ready left. To make things easier, get there around 10:00AM, drop luggage and family members in front of the terminal and then by yourself drive over to garage and secure your vehicle. Walk across the street to the terminal, meet up with family members and enter the terminal to check in for your cruise. I have never encountered a situation we’re the Midport Garage was completely full.

It won't fill up.  You are worried about nothing.  Always plenty of space.

Passengers are disembarking 'your' ship before you arrive at the port and freeing up parking spaces and that many (most?) passengers don't drive their personal vehicles to the port (they arrive via taxi, uber, lyft, shuttle, friend/family drop off, etc.).  In 10 years of reading this board and living in South Florida I've never heard of any of the parking areas at Port Everglades being filled up.  Enjoy your cruise!
