Speciality Dining - First Day Reductions

Have just booked a cruise on the Crown Princess for July this year and was just wondering if, like some of the other cruise lines, Princess operate a reduction on the price of meals in the Speciality Restaurants on the first day, although looking at their normal prices they do seem very reasonable when compared to others

Depending on if you booked with a TA, and if they had an ongoing "Coupon Savings Booklet" promotion you might receive the afore mentioned coupon book.  I find that most everything in there is of no interest to me except there is a buy one - get one offer good only for the first night.  We used it last month on the Coral in the Bayou Cafe & Steakhouse and found it to be not to my liking.  We much prefer the Crown Grill or Sabatini's venues, but that is just us.  Remember, first night is generally prime rib night in the Princess main dining rooms.

No price break unless you've got one of the BOGO coupons. They also won't let you apply the coupon to any other night but the first one. ☹️

The good news is that the Crown hasn't changed their Sabatini's menu yet.

TA's may have up to 10 weeklong Princess Cruise Night Sales per year .

When you book during those Sales you receive the Good Coupon Book in your cabin as well as reduced deposit and additional

  OBC .

Many do not open up the Coupon Book that first day and miss the chance to use that first night Bogo Dinner coupon.

Let your TA know that you wish to know when the Sale is on.

I have a Good Cruise Specialist TA who will begin a Cruise Night Sale most every time I wish to book a Princess cruise .

My TA said they have them at certain times of the year, so if you book during that time, you get one.

Exactly. You can't seem to identify the times when they're available for certain.

I have enough for this year but would love to know about the future and when I asked, I just get a vague answer.

Maybe I need a new TA? 😒

I do all the coordinating & contact her for the final booking. ☹️

Your TA's vague answers about when they will have Princess Cruise Night Sales may be because their Agency does not permit them to make that decision?

Perhaps a hint that you are a shopper will motivate her ?

You would think with all the business I give this one agent that she would realize it.

Year ago (before the internet) I've had TA's that would actually call me with deals that would be too good to pass up.

Our TA is fabulous and sends us a periodical newsletter where she talks of all cruise sales and breaks down present ongoing sales.  In this newsletter she also announces when she will have the special Princess weeklong sales (reduced deposits along with coupon book) throughout the year.
