Coco Cay did you make it or miss it?

We were there last week, we were on the Anthem and the Mariner was there as well.  We got off the boat early-ish - ca. 9am., and had no trouble finding a sweet place by the pool.  There were tons of open spots on the beaches.  To note: the week we were on the Anthem was also the week that NY state kids have off for winter break (don't know about NJ or CT), so the boat was loaded with kids/families (which the crew had mentioned several times, upward of 1400 kids on the boat). 

 

That being said, Cococay never felt overwhelmingly crowded.  I had no problem getting drinks at the bar, service at the seat, and there were no lines anywhere.

Does anyone know what wind/weather conditions usually prevent a ship from stopping at Coco Cay?  Which direction the wind is blowing and how strong?

We made it, but you could also say we missed it.

My pictures start at post 14 and video of when they were trying to get the dock lines off so we could leave start at posts 19 and 20 .

Missed it in August while on 4 day Navigator. Got 25% of value of your

cruise cost off towards next cruise.

Missed it in August on Navigator due to Dorian. Excursion refunded and got FCC.  Crossing my fingers and toes we make it in a few weeks when on Anthem.

0 for 1 Allure November 2019. We docked and passengers started getting off but after about an hour the capt called everybody back because of high winds.

Feb 11, I was on the mariner, plus the navigator was also there. The only thing not running was the balloon ride. Otherwise it didn’t feel too packed.
