Dawn "enclosed" Balconies

We cruised on the Dawn and it had normal balconies.  It may have a few, like when we cruised on the Star, we picked an enclosed balcony, because it was cheap and the cruise was out of Copenhagen and visited Norway, Shetland Islands, Iceland and some ports in the British Isles.  The weather was cold and the enclosed balcony did block some of the cold wind.

The photos Escargo posted are of the Norwegian Epic.  The Priva Sea or hull balconies on the Star, Dawn and Jewel class ships are much preferable to those on the Epic.

Here is a Youtube video of 9008 from the Norwegian Star.

Here is Youtube video of Norwegian Dawn 8556 (old video) so decor is different now.

At the 2 minute (2:00) mark of the 3:57 minute video the details of the Hull (enclosed) balcony are shown in detail.

Thanks!! I'm assuming the Jade would be similar? I have that balcony booked for a Trans Atlantic next April

Thanks everyone for your advice and photos.

We did  the Spirit Christmas/ New Year cruise 2019/2020 deck 10 midships so I'm pleased that we will not have a "hull" cabin if we book the Dawn 2020/2021.

Though we are hanging back before making any booking (even with the NCL "sale" ) as ship's locations may change …. as it has with the Spirt.

Thanks
