Booking specialty dining with credits

Sailing Scandinavia in September...

I have received a specialty dining credit from both my TA and with the promo we booked with.

I tried to make reservation but it requires that I post payment to confirm booking.  Is there a trick to applying the credits so that I can book ahead of time?

Thx

When we've received Specialty dining from our TA, it's booked for us. A card was in our cabin with the restaurant, date, and time. We've had no problem with calling the Dine Line or going directly to the venue to change to a more preferred place or date.

Just wait until you're onboard.

If you are still at least a week out still, I believe you can cancel reservations and get a refund (just like you can with other pre-purchases). Then use your TA certificate onboard.

I reserved and paid for all my specialty restaurants.  I then received a free dining certificate from my travel agent.  Any suggestions on how I might exchange that for my paid reservation.

Best to cancel and get a refund.

Then book onboard.

Instead of trying to use the dine line we just take the card directly to our desired specialty venue and make arrangements there. Much easier and does not require multiple calls to the oft busy dine line.
