Portugal: Authorities to repatriate 1,300 cruise passengers that arrived today - MSC Fantasia

So: We have the Fantasia with 1300+ passengers to repatriate here from Lisbon right now due to the COVID-19. Portugal has declared state of Emergency last week. No news of infected or even suspected cases in the ship as far as I know.

Unfortunately you have to register to access the article but I understand from another online source they're testing the non Portuguese passengers and if they're negative they'll be allowed to disembark and proceed home.

Well done Portugal.  You might need to do the same with MSC Magnifica, wanting to berth at Fremantle, West Australia.  Reportedly 250 ill pax on board,  virus not confirmed as yet.  Total 1700 pax on board.

There is no way our hospitals can cope with that number. We might as well give up right now! We cannot have another Ruby Princess and Ovation and a few of those are now having to be treated in Perth anyway.

Agree. Some passengers were permitted to disembark in Melbourne  to board flights home, reports a passenger on board, not clear where home was.

At the very least the sick need to be tested. It maybe not Covid-19.
