If your TA isn’t available (overwhelmed?), then that TA isn’t an actual Travel Agent/Advisor, they are a booking site who only assists you to make a reservation. Suggest you not use that group again.

I think we are all starting to learn what happens when you use an 800-agent or website because it has ‘good deals’, that they aren’t TA’s. I use to book on my own and then get the reservation through some Big Box thing until I had to make some changes and now use a local TA. I’ve posted this on a few threads, and I’m Not a TA or trashing the booking websites.....well maybe a bit of trash-talk!

I don't totally disagree, but at the same time, even if I completely lose the NRD I have on my September cruise (and it unfortunately is past the current 9/1 date so I have decided to still wait and see), I will have made literally thousands more in true $$ savings and OBC by using that big online website.  Over 60 cruises completed, and until this happened cruising 6-8 times a year since retirement.  I don't think we can use this hopefully once in a lifetime occurrence (at least so far) as evidence of who to use and who not to.  Just MHO.

The problem with some responses on CC is that from time to time, members state their opinion as if it were fact.

I think for some, they will likely not cruise until there is a vaccine.  However, this will not apply to everyone and IMO, cruising will resume before there is a vaccine.  Science is hopeful that a vaccine will solve the problem, but the truth is, nobody knows until the vaccine trials are over.

I was stating an opinion that quite frankly makes a lot of sense. Cruiselines will continue to request clearance from over 70s until a vaccine is found because they don’t want to put themselves or their passengers at expose risk.

Ah, OK. So it is your personal opinion and not accredited statement?

No more than speculation then...................

You didn’t; and I didn’t say or imply that you did. I simply and politely asked for the source of your information.

You have since explained that it is a personal opinion. Thanks for clearing that up.
