Did anyone get the wrong amount refunded?

Recommended Posts

No refund yet, but recieved my FCC. And the math does not add up. Actual cruise cost $898.50. That is the charge per person for cruise only. Additional $87 pp grats, and additional $274.71 taxes and ports.

I recieved a fcc of $973 per person. Only $74.50 more.

$898.50 x 125%= $1123.12

$898.50 x 25%= $224.62.

Looks like royal got creative with its math. Same as phoney sales.

Got ALL my refunds in six separate but correct amounts for the total that I spent originally. Credit appeared exactly one week after I applied for it as "pending" and hit the card the next day reducing my overall balance. I applied for the refund the day RCL canceled all cruises through mid June for our 5/17/20 Oasis cruise.

I've been refunded for both of my cruises (both cancelled by Royal).  In both cases the deposit was separate from the final payment.  The first cruise (originally scheduled to leave on Tuesday! 😞) was pretty straight forward: two down payment refunds and two final payment refunds.  The second cruise was more confusing.  There were two refunds for the down payment and then two separate but different amounts for the final payment.  What I finally figured out was that we purchased a BOGO 60% off and that's how they refunded it - one at full price and the other at 60% off.

I have not been refunded cruise essential purchases on either cruise yet.

Just wanted to give an update. I got an additional $1000.00 on April 30th and nothing since. I have just gone ahead and filed a chargeback for the remaining amount I am owed. I don't have time to sit around and wait for them to piecemeal my refund back to me. I gave them 30 days.

I was also supposed to get my Casino credit that I applied to this cruise back as an FCC and I am sure I will never see that again.

I received all my credits, although over two months and many odd deposits. Actually was missing my Chops prepaid $$ and low and behold, it went to a Visa gift card I had three months ago. Glad I didn't toss it. As far as the rest of my money? I called RCCL and told them to hold it, I'll be back sailing soon enough. No worries.

I received my cruise fare refund and port tax refund for my May 25th cruise today and when i double checked my invoice vs refund I was shorted $27 -- no idea why.

they still owe my FCC for my March 27th sailing that I cancelled on March 11th (2 days before they cancelled).

they still owe me for items I purchased on cruise planner - no refund to amex card as of yet.

Guess I will give a call later this week.
