Depends if you like wearing a watch all the time. As the key is a bracelet that’s always on your wrist.    For me it wasn’t worth it.  I keep my key in my swim trunks or shorts pocket with some tipping cash when needed.   I don’t drink so I don’t use my key card a lot.   Even if I did drink I’d still use my card. As I’d still have some tipping money with me.   
Maybe for the kids so they don’t lose the keycard

You are talking about the WOW band.... not The Key.

 

The Key is a paid program including WiFi, priority embarkation/disembarkation, priority tender, special seats for the shows (no reservations required), lunch in a specialty restaurant on embarkation day, specialy breakfast for disembarkation....

 

The price is per day/per person.

It mostly wasn't for us on a five day on indy, we got it because it was our first time on Royal. Just wife and I so only for two. 

 

One hour for the rock wall which wasn't used anyway. 

 

One hour flow rider (I forgot to utilize) 

 

Lunch at chops that was meh

 

Internet, only time we've ever had data in a ship. Only reason we bring  a phone onboard is for the camera. 

 

I will say the reserved show seating was nice. 

 

Had an early flight so we didn't do the debark breakfast. 

 

I don't regret the purchase but wouldn't do it again. 

 

I think we paid less than $20pppd
