RocCruisers Posted May 8, 2020 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2020 On our last cruise, we booked a transatlantic on the Rhapsody from Barcelona to Tampa for November 30, 2021. Going to Europe just to come back isn't that smart, so we thought we should book the preceding cruise as a B2B. But the preceding cruise is a repositioning trip from Venice to Tampa on October 23 to 30. Why the 31 day hole in the schedule? What happened? Why is there a month between sailings? Is the ship going into dry dock or refurbishment? Is it being used for Below Deck episodes? Did someone charter it for a month long sailing? Did the scheduler mix the months up and make it November instead of October? And yes, I've sent to notes to RCL and haven't heard back yet... Has anyone else seen a hole like this before? ONECRUISER Posted May 8, 2020 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2020 (edited) Not all dates were released yet on several ships for the 2021-2022 schedule. That being said older ship like that needs Dry Dock every 2.5 yrs, not sure when her last was done. That's for Marine side Maint which is more in days not weeks or a month, cant see a refurbishment on that older ship Edited May 8, 2020 by ONECRUISER

The Rhapsody is scheduled for drydock during that time. The Vision also has a drydock next fall with a similar gap. We are sailing a few Rhapsody cruises in October and then switching to Vision for the TA. Edited May 8, 2020 by pstone1

It's interesting that the picture on the yacht world website shows the name of the ship but on the qpships website the name has been removed from the picture. That same picture has been on website's for years. Nothing new.
