Grand Princess Food

I have cruised many times on the Grand ... did the first cruise out of Istanbul in l998, at least 6 times since home ported in San Francisco, was on the Feb 2020 cruise this year to Mexico.  Over the years menu in the MD of all Princess ships has changed a lot.  As a result, we do Room Service for breakfast, do either the Crown Grill or the buffet for dinner.  On our last cruise we did the Crown Grill 4 nights, buffet 5... skipped dinner first night  since we had a very late boarding time.   We like the variety in the buffet, generally have several fish items, good salad bar.. how that changes in the future remains to be seen.  We felt the MD menu changed so much we were more satisfied skipping it entirely.  To be fare, we do the same on Celebrity, when we cruise that line.

Bleh... Not a fan of cake. Much more of a PIE person. Not that Princess has a clue about pie...

This whole topic is rather sad.

I think if a casual observer were to read the posts in this thread, they would conclude that the

food on Grand Princess is average.

And, these are posts by princess affecionados!

Oddly, if someone were to post here: "I found the food on Grand Princess to be only average".

They would be insulted and mocked.

Maybe they would be mocked less if they knew the super secret code 'AP',

with bonus points for knowing why it's 'AP'.

Princess abbreviation for Grand Princess, of course. It can't be GP as that is the abbreviation for Regal Princess. 😜

That's not the story I was told, for the selection of 'AP'.

Well... any other reasons aside, it actually is the abbreviation for Grand Princess.

Which is why I used it in a thread about food on Grand Princess.

...which should probably have been entitled 'Food on AP', so the cool kids could all join it.

Perhaps the title could be changed, to be clearer.

Suprisingly, when I used it, there might have been a hint of sarcasm.

Hook up!  Fish on!

Aww people, we haven't been on Princess for 20 years because we have been sailing with another, ahem. line.  So I had no idea Grand Princess is AP.  Why not GP?  Is that Golden Princess?
