There seems to be missing links to reviewers that had been mentioned here.

Bimmer09, Singingalot and Mistsugirly are a few of the posters that I seem to recall being mentioned on this thread.

I cannot find their names here. What happened ?

one I know.. screen name is actually mitsugirly

great reviewer!

Yes, but where is the link to Mitsugirly and others ?

Or, am I recalling incorrectly that a number of links appeared in various posts here ?

I'm not sure which one may or may not have been posted but it looks like this is her most recent Carnival one.

Well this isn't a review...sorry off topic....sort of...

But a gem of a thread, with over 1500 replies!

ENJOY!!!

There was actually a similar thread on his a while back that was entertaining. But it wasnt no 1,500 posts. I'll have to look through this. 😀

Thank you, CoasterGuy.

But there were many posts that included links to various posters, for example- Bimmer09 and Singingalot.

I can’t seem to find those posts. Maybe I am mistaken that people contributed to this thread with links to their favorite review contributors.🙄

There appears to be another thread similiar.  @MJSailors - take a look at the thread above.

 Thank you, cajun-crazy.

I did find a thread on the Royal Caribbean board that had links to many posters that included reviews of cruises not only on RCCL, but Princess,NCL and Celebrity.

I have been enjoying reading several of those reviews!😊

I guess mitsugirly is about my favorite.  She kind of inspired me to write reviews in a story format of my last two cruises.  I have spent literally hours reading her reviews!

Sid, who does the “live” reviews has a wicked sense of humor and is also really entertaining.  His description of how old a life jacket on a shore excursion might be in relation to famous wars was completely hysterical!

Can I also vote for Saint Greg and Jamman?  Lol

I can’t wait to start cruising again!

Our Celebrity constellation review--

Celebrity Constellation 9 night Arabian cruise

Embarkation was a breeze-just 10 mins. Then we were welcomed onboard with champagne on a red carpet. We felt we were treated like royalty!.

Our oceanview room was comfy & spacious, but the bath cubicle was miniscule.

On the first day, they had liquer sampling the entire evening, right from 5pm to 9pm. You could sample all liquers on display. Their special discount offers on alcohol were much better than those at duty free airports.

They also had a wristwatch & handbag sale (really cheap, only $40 for 5, mix & match)

Every morning, on the way to the buffet breakfast, there were pretty girls waiting to give you a FREE sampler head massage. Yes, every morning

On 9 days, we had 4 grand shows, a movie night, a Beatles tribute band, a singer (Jane), a violinist & a pianist, all best of class!  So, every night was taken care of.

The 4 shows--Welcome, Land of Fantasy (or fairy tales), Dances of the World & Elyria were 45-50 mins each & truly amazing, easily of Broadway standard.

The performers also mingled, posed  & danced with us throughout the 9 day cruise.

They also performed on the pool deck & in the Reflections lounge, in addition to the 4 main shows.

One evening, Celebrity even had a special BELLY DANCE show with Middle east delicacy starters & desserts--kababs, Baklava, the works!

The passenger vs crew (in full uniform) pool volleyball game was a blast!

Unfortunately, nobody showed up or seemed interested in the enrichment health & fitness lectures &  we 2 were the only ones who attended every time. The fitness trainers who spoke on health & detoxification, were both experienced & knowledgeable.

The buffet lunch had a lot of variety & was very satisfying.

There were 6 diff. flavours of icecream & frozen yoghurt, which kept changing daily! Exotic flavors like cherry, pecan, peach, apricot, passion fruit, dark chocolate, banana, strawberry, etc

In the main dining room, the dinner & service was fit for a king. Lobster, jumbo prawns, pink salmon, beef steak, tenderloin, et all. Very satisfying, never had any complaint whatsoever. The desserts were so-so.

The cruise itinerary was well planned, with 8 port days--2 Abu Dhabi, 3 Dubai, 2 Muscat & 1 Khasab, so enough time for sightseeing at all ports, (except Dubai, which needs at least 7 days to see it all--

Dubai city tour with abra ride, Bastakiya, Al Fahidi fort, Gold souk, Spice souk, Perfume souk; Desert safari, Dubai mall with aquarium & musical fountain show, Burj Khalifa tallest observatory, Mall of the Emirates & Snow city, Global Village, Atlantis the palm, Jumeirah mosque & beach, Burj al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah, Miracle Gardens, Butterfly park, Dinosaur land, Glow City, etc.)

Overall I highly recommend this cruise. We got an amazing deal, just $451 per person for 9 nights in an oceanview cabin with $150 onboard credit per person ($300 onboard credit per cabin) !!!

Love & God bless,

drsel

Our Celebrity Millennium review--

Celebrity Millenium 14 night Asia Immersion cruise

Embarkation took 30 mins. Then we were welcomed onboard with champagne & mimosa on a red carpet. (We expected this, having been on its identical sister ship Celebrity Constellation.)

Our oceanview room was comfy & spacious, but the bath cubicle was small.

We had the Classic unlimited alcoholic drinks package,  so I decided to try out their  amazing array of cocktails. The Lido poolside bar was empty & the bartender gave me his signature drink in a jiffy, with a smile.

In fact throughout the cruise, the bartender service was impeccable. They were really keen to serve us, cos as one bartender said, everytime we slash our sea pass, they earn 18% gratuity (paid by Celebrity & NOT charged to us--very nice).

All cocktails were good, though the alcohol content was 45ml. If you wanted to add more Vodka or Triple Sec, they would gladly oblige (and slash your card once again).

It was symbiotic--the more (free) drinks you order, the happier the bartender!

Drinks service was very quick, esp at the Casino bar, Sunset bar & Poolside.

Only the Martini bar had very slow service, since it was always crowded (not the bartenders fault)

Unlike Constellation, on the first day, they was NO liquer sampling. But it didnt matter, cos we had the Classic alcoholic package.

The special discount offers on alcohol purchase (in the duty free shops on deck 5), were much better than those at duty free airports in Singapore & H.K..

They also had a ladies hat, shawl & handbag sale (really cheap, only $40 for 5, mix & match)

Every morning, on the way to the buffet breakfast, there were pretty girls waiting to give you a FREE sampler head massage. Yes, every morning!

The cruise director Paul was outstanding & so was his deputy, Valentina.

Paul conducted the game shows exceptionally well & was always witty & cheerful.

He introduced all the entertainers every night. At every port, he would wait at the exit to greet the passengers & help, if required.

Valentina wore stilts & a Chinese costume to entertain the crowd at the grand poolside Chinese New Year dance party. She also conducted the social media classes ( Facebook, WhatsApp, etc), some gameshows & trivia.

In 14 days, we had only 3 grand shows, (this is the ONLY reason I deducted 1 star, as we expected more shows on a 14 day cruise)

The other 11 days had a movie night (Billy Jean King's life story), a Phil Collins tribute singer, a Stevie Wonder tribute singer, a lovely Jamaican singer (Monique),  a Vietnamese lady pianist (Van Anh Nyugen),  a lady violinist (Inna Tolstova), a singing trio from US, the Mersey  boys quartet from UK, a comedy juggler, an acrobatic couple, a comedian (Funny Bones). So, every night was taken care of.

The 3 shows--iBroadway, Boogie Wonderland & Elyssium; were 45-50 mins each & truly amazing, easily of Broadway standard. 4 of the 12 performers posed for pics after each show. But they didn't mingle or dance with the passengers (like they did in Constellation). They also performed a small act on the pool deck & in the Cosmos lounge, in addition to the 3 main shows.

For Chinese New Year, Celebrity even had a special Chinese dragon dance. The Cruise director Paul dressed magnificently like a Chinese Emperor & posed with all passengers.

The passenger vs crew (in full uniform) pool volleyball game was a blast!

Unfortunately, very few showed up or seemed interested in the enrichment health & fitness lectures. The fitness trainer who spoke on health & detoxification, was repititive. She spoke the same thing at every lecture.

The buffet lunch had a lot of variety & was very satisfying.

There were 6 diff. flavours of icecream & frozen yoghurt, which kept changing daily! Exotic flavors like cherry, pecan, peach, apricot, dark chocolate, banana, strawberry, etc.

In the main dining room, the service was good, but food was below par. Often we left after starters. The desserts were also ordinary & TOO SWEET.

The buffet had better food & a lot more variety both for lunch & dinner.

The cruise itinerary was well planned, with 5 sea days & 9 port days--2 Hong Kong, 2 Halong bay, 1 HoiAnn /Hue /Danang, 1 Ho Chi Minh, 2 Pattaya & 1 Singapore; so enough time for sightseeing at all ports.

Overall I do recommend this cruise. We got a good deal,

Love & God bless,

drsel

@mitsugirly

There.

I'm not really sure why I'm just now seeing this thread and getting a notification but anyone wanting to read my reviews, I do have a website that has all of them for each cruise line (which will give you the link to each in it) and I have various sections that show hotels we've stayed at in different places and you can also look at different ports as well. I recently took a 2 week vacation to St Thomas (due to no cruising and COVID) and you can find that review under the "land vacations" if anyone is interested. 🙂

Hey Kim,

Joining you on your first carnival Cruise on the dream, if you don't mind. We haven't been on that one yet! Just twice on the Conquest, once on the Elation, three times on the Freedom, Three times on the Breeze and so far once on the Vista. So we are interested in the Dream because it's one of the ships that leave from Galveston.

Thanks for posting! I'll probably become the grandma ghost like person on your cruises for a while, I hope you don't mind.

Hugs

Nicki

We loved the Dream. It was my first Carnival experience and it was a good one so I continued to cruise with Carnival. The Breeze and Fascination have been my most favorite ships so far. I don't know if it was the cruise, the ship, or just all the destinations we went to that just made the cruise fantastic. But then again, I love all the ships. LOL

I hope you enjoy the reviews. 🙂
