Sailing PG this fall, but don't want to buy all their expensive excursions (except drift snorkel in Tahaa)

can  you find your own snorkeling spots on the other islands? Especially Raitea and Huahine?

I think we can figure out Moorea and Bora Bora

thanks

Suggest you may get a better response by posting in the Ports of Call Board, specifically the one for Pacific Islands. Here is a link.

@cruzrmomma

Howdy and welcome back to the Cruise Critic boards!  emo22.gif I see it has been awhile since you have posted.

Thank you for your new thread on the Ask a Cruise Question forum that is for general questions concerning cruising. 👍 Since your thread concerns specific ports of call, I have moved your thread to the Ports Of Call - Pacific Islands, All forum where it will be on-topic.

Please browse through the thread titles on this new forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that will be of interest to you.

I hope this will be helpful and glad to have you back aboard Cruise Critic! emo35.gif

Happy sails,

Raiatea - best private excursion will be Bruno, about $100 USD for the day and includes lunch

Huahine - there is a beach you can get to easily. Take the provided shuttle from the ship to Fare (no charge). As you get of the bus look to your right and you will see the sailing club. walk past it on the beach side and go down about 150 yards. Nice place to hang and you can snorkel 😉

Another vote for Bruno of  L 'Excursion Bleue in Raiatea. Very reasonable too.

If there is a shuttle to Fare there's a lovely sailboat that will take you on a day sail/snorkel. It's Huahine Voile https://www.tahitisailingcharter.com/index.php?lang=english

You need one other couple for reservation confirmation.

For some starter ideas on reasonably priced snorkel tours in Moorea there's Moorea Activities Center https://www.mooreaactivitiescenter.com/

Or Moorea Miti Tours- you can book a 3 hour tour on Viator for about $80.

https://www.mooreamititours.com/

The only thing I don't like about these two is that they take 8-12 passengers and I like small.

In Bora Bora I like H2O Bora Bora  http://www.boraborah2o.com/

Or Tohora Bora Bora (whales in season) snorkeling the rest of the year.

https://www.tohoraborabora.com/

The beauty of both of these last two is that they take a maximum of 6 passengers and have nice prices.
