Temperature rarely goes below 60 unless you are at a higher elevation. I know this because supposedly oranges stay green and dont turn orange colored unless temps drop below 60 and they say but these oranges are ripe, just not orange.

☺️ Smiling...true about oranges...we're surrounded by about 475 acres...mostly Valencia...very sweet juice and goes nicely with vodka. 😉  Oh! it's happy hour!

I like both sunrise and sunset lol.  I've got a cabin I like mid ship on starboard.   What will I get going from Vancouver to Hawaii?

Neither you will be at dinner 🤣🤣

I was looking at that 9/30/22 Ovation to Hawaii.  A disappointment for me is the fact that the 9/23/22 Alaska cruise is a 7 day RT out of Seattle, so if I wanted to go b2b I would have to take the cruise out of Hawaii on 10/9/22 also.  Perhaps Quantum TP will be better at that time.

You could book the last Alaska cruise on Quantum (Sept 19 to 26) then spend 4 days in Vancouver and then sail Ovation to Hawaii.

Same thing the other way.  Sail Ovation Alaska Sept 23 to 30, spend 3 nights in Seattle or Vancouver then sail on Quantum to Hawaii Oct 3

Unfortunately to comply with the PVSA there are limited options and neither is ideal for a B2B

I'm looking into going on the Vancouver to Hawaii cruise on Ovation of the Seas for a late September early October cruise (9 days).   Has anyone been and enjoyed it?  Should I be afraid of the weather at that time of year?

September/October is still hurricane season in Hawaii. Hurricanes seldom make landfall in Hawaii, but just the threat of one can disrupt cruise and airline schedules.

As to weather, we've never done September/October to HI on a cruise, ours have been November, and  two in February. The weather then was cool the first full day at sea leaving the West Coast, but was very nice otherwise. Hawaii is the tropics so the weather is in a very temperate range, daytime lows are seldom below 73°F or so, with overnight lows in the high 60s°F, low 70s°F. By the same token, daytime highs are seldom above the high 80s°F or so.

We did this cruise on the Ovation in 2019.  Awesome trip!!  Vancouver was a little rainy and cool when we left but by the second full sea day, the weather was sunny and warm.  By the time we got to Hawaii, it was hot and humid.  I was concerned about being on the ship for so many sea days but there was more than enough to keep us busy.  Although we thought we would hit some rough seas, especially out of Vancouver, it was smooth sailing.  I liked ending the cruise in Hawaii, so we had the option of staying a few more days.  One thing that was a little annoying but would happen on any stop to Maui, was the tendering back and forth any time you wanted to get on and off the ship.  On the other side of that, it was an overnight stay so you can stay on land as long as you'd like.

When we came back, we were already looking to do this itinerary and ship again.

I just got off the phone with Royal.  The Quantum HNL-YVR is 13 nights.  The Ovation HNL-YVR is only 10 nights (the cruise is "up" in their system but not eligible for booking yet).  So we have jumped ship.  We are disembarking in HNL to spend the night and will be boarding Quantum on 4-26 for their 13 night leg to Vancouver.  I didn't want to lose 3 nights.  No idea why they have shortened the Ovation leg by so much.  So if you want to get 13 nights vs 10 nights, you will need to call and book Quantum.  All of the SC suites are already gone but I was able to snag a 2 BR GS.  I really hate the regular GS on the Q class...they are so small and cramped.  But the 2 BR looks fine.

I guess the only way to book it right now is to call Royal.  I booked and then asked my TA to transfer it over to her.  I was able to get a 5% casino discount that she would not have been able to get anyway...so best that I called.  In the "old days" my TA never had any trouble getting a casino discount applied but recently, they won't let her book the discount....in fact, she had a hard time even getting the last booking I did (Grandeur, 14 night 20 Feb 22) transferred.  She finally did get it transferred but it was a struggle.  Hopefully this one will transfer too.

That’s odd as I have found that they have made it easier for TA’s to handle  casino bookings and have gone as far as now paying commission on comp cruises.
