Mardi Gras vs Horizon

Feb 2023. Price is negligible.  Will stay in Havana area on either ship.

 

Mardi Gras--7 day, Eastern Caribbean. Leave from Orlando, ports are Grand Turk, San Juan, and Amber Cove.

Horizon--8 day, Southern Caribbean. Leave from Miami, ports are Aruba, Amber Cove, La Romana, Bonaire.

If you want the latest and greatest ship, I would go with Mardi Gras. For itinerary, I would go with Horizon. Depends on which matters more to you.

I would go for Horizon for the itinerary and consider the extra day a bonus.

 

I’m not anxious to repeat the itinerary you have for Mardi Gras.

For Havana area and itinerary, I would choose the Horizon.  Havana area on Mardi Gras is forward on starboard side vs the entire aft on deck 5 on the Horizon.  Much more to see and do on port stops for Horizon.

One extra day and a better Havana area IMO, I would choose the Horizon

Fully agree with Crewsweeper.  The Horizon is the pick because of the much better Havana area, the 8 days and the Southern itinerary.  I did the Horizon area for two different 8 night itineraries out of NYC and MIA and stayed in the Havana area both times.  It was excellent.  Pick the Horizon and then go on the Mardi Gras after reviews come in.

Horizon, definitely.  I'd sail for the nice Havana area above all else.
