We always choose a 1a balcony on starboard side try 6136 as low down and if rough best position ,not port side as smoking permitted on deck six by these cabins.Has one of the largest balconies on the ship.If you want further advice ring me as we are in Salisbury on 01725510533

The largest balconies are those that are the first and third on the angle of the hump, counting from the straight part of the hump. (For example, 1243 and 9215). Those that are second and fourth (e.g., 1245 and 9211) have balconies that aren’t quite as large, but still larger than balconies off the slant of the hump.

BTW, when you say “next” October, do you mean this year, or 2022?  (We are booked on the latter. There’s already a Roll Call, so please join us if you do book.)

As has been said, the port side will get the most sun and might be warmer.  One thing to consider is that you might not even want to sit out there in October.  We sailed one transatlantic when we never went out on our balcony and they had to tie the furniture down.

I'm sure you meant to say 6236 since 6136 is a 2B way up forward.

We did the TA from Southampton in 2018 to celebrate our 50th anniversary.  It was called "Boston, Broadway and Bermuda."   Our cabin was a 1-A - 7264.  A very large balcony and it was across from the Hideaway where there was a coffee service starting at  6 AM.  We also had an electric kettle in the room with tea bags.  First time for that.  Had a great time and would do it again.

We were on board with you. Had a great time as well, despite that huge storm moving across the Atlantic that required us to change course at the outset.

We were also on that one where they had to tie down the furniture on the balcony.

We did go out on the balcony every day to film some of the wave action.  But, as you know, we couldn't really utilize it until we stopped in Bermuda.   It was a relaxing crossing.
