I’d pass on this itinerary. Having both Grand Turk and Amber Cove is redundant. The port areas are pretty much identical except Grand Turk has a beach and the options beyond the port area are pretty limited. Although the beach in Grand Turk is nice, I’d prefer to go to the beach at home and enjoy a better cruise port.

Name me any 5 day cruise that Carnival  offers that has any must see ports?  5 days are not offered to Alaska, or the A, B, C's in southern caribbean. So you choose the newest ship.

Nassau.

You can find a 5 night to Alaska from time to time just as you can find a 5 night to better ports from time to time.

Grand Turk and Amber Cove together is nothing to get excited about. And I sailed that exact itinerary before on Crown Princess.

Nassau is a must see port?  It's one notch above Freeport.  And I would get much more excited about GT and AC than Nassau. But if I got a free 5 day cruise, I would just stay on board. Name me one time that Carnival has ever sailed a 5 night itinerary in Alaska.

Nassau? Are you serious? OP said he has already been to the Bahamas four, count 'em, 4 times! Yeah, you've already been called out by @CruisinGuy007 for being a negative Nelly on this board.

BTW, A 5 day cruise to Alaska would probably have more sea days than port stops.

Nassau? Seriously? Now that's laughable although so is only doing the same cruise on the Carnival Pride four times. Who does that? SMH ........

Yes, an absolute must see port. Nassau is as enjoyable as being on a Carnival cruise. They go hand in hand.

It’s been done- end of season or beginning of season. Seattle to Vancouver with a call in Ketchikan at the end of season or Vancouver to Seattle at the beginning.

Nothing new. You must not have been around long.

Yeah I'll pass they aren't offering that deal on the celebration as far as I've seen anyways.

I disagree with that assessment.  There's plenty of things to do from Amber Cove that are not possible at Grand Turk.  A day doing the Damajagua waterfalls is completely different than sitting at Jack's Shack.  I've enjoyed both, the latter numerous times.

Best port out there 😉

Wow.  I've cruised for better part of two decades and I'm 100% sure I've never encountered anyone with that opinion.  Until just now.  Thanks! 🤪

If you want to sail from Florida and a 5 day cruise. You have Jacksonville, Port Canaveral, Lauderdale, Miami and Tampa. This is post Covid mess of course.  Jacksonville, Port Canaveral, and Lauderdale pretty much only hit the Bahamas for five day cruises so I focus on Tampa and Miami for my shorter cruises and I personally prefer Tampa.

Miami is just a mess for boarding due to the numbers of people at the port and I love the Cozumel routes from Tampa. Sea days on the front and back end and nice blue water ports for port days. Short Miami cruises often have a port day on day one which many people may not mind, but I want the first and last day of my vacation to be a wind down day.

You have to be joking right? I guess I thought Nassau was ok when it was the first and only Caribbean port I had ever seen back on my cruise on the sensation 20 plus years ago.

Not joking -- it's a must see. No cruise is complete without a visit to Nassau. I'm disappointed that my cruise to Antarctica didn't include a call in Nassau.

i wasnt trying to be jerky,(sometimes my sarcasm gets the best of me)   i like nassau a bit, its just not my favorite.  i usually get off the ship first thing , walk south through town along the shore for about 5 miles while enjoying the nice views of the ships and shore.  the 1 negative in my 20 visits there is that in the arrival area , the merchants are particularly pesky and dont take no to well.

Looking for opinions on the best 5 day Florida departure cruise to use my jackpot casino free suite offer on.

Next fall into winter would be ideal.

We've been on the pride 4 times to the Bahamas and Bermuda it's time to change it up.

If available, I'd look for anything going to Half Moon Cay. I prefer private island stops over regular ports-of-call, and that place has the most amazing beach.
