Shareholder OBC

A two part question, if I may.

I submitted my shareholder verification information a week or so ago and have still heard nothing back. How long does this typically take and should I be expecting an email notifying me that I've been approved?

Whenever it is that the OBC is issued, is there a place I can go to see it when I log into my Carnival account?

Yes the obc will show on your booking. Be sure and check.

I think the last time I did the obc for shareholders it took about 10 days and yes I got an email.  There have been times I've done it and I get a response in a day or two.

I believe to see the shareholder obc you have to go to print out your documents and you will see it under the $$$ section of how much you paid for the cruise.  But you can use the search engine and find out exactly where to look.

Thank you, The guidelines give you a little warning about sending it via Email. I should have just Emailed it!  I sent it via the Postal service on May 14th for a July 15th, 2022 cruise. Since I sent it, I have booked another cruise for November 13th, 2021. Am I able to call them to add it to both cruises or do I have to resubmit?

I feel it is better to submit for each cruise. I have found fax and email work fine, but I can't find where it shows online for my booking. It is shown with all other OBC's on the "Print Documents" pages. I wish they had online a complete leger showing dates, debits, credits, OBC, casino cash, purchases of merchandise and services, as well as record locator and fare codes. Instead it is a click festival to gather all the info. Of course thus assumes you book directly with Carnival.

I submitted my documents in March for my July cruise. They automatically applied it to my January cruise as well. Check to see if the add it before calling. I just noticed it showed up in OBC. The email did not give any indication.

When you requested your shareholder OBC, how did you submit the request? Fax, Email or Post Office?

I was first told to submit via fax. I did that then after doing so, I was advised to submit via email so I did that too.

I sent in my information last night by e-mail. The first send I got a non-delivery message. Sent the information again and this morning I got a message that the information I sent was not adequate. This time I sent in pages one and three of my Stock Statement. Lets hope this one flies. I do have other accounts where I own the stock. This could be a game of send us more information? Note I did mark out my Account Number which the cruise line does not need to know. Better be safe than Hacked.

Now this is getting interesting. I have now sent in my third e-mail and once again got rejected. This time it was page one of my month (April 2021) stock statement with my first and last name on it including my address but the account number was blocked out. Page one shows the Brokerage company with all basic information. Page 3 of the statement which was sent shows my stocks owned including Carnival stock. The returned e-mail said they needed my first name and last name in the statement?

On Friday I will circle my first name and last name. This will be e-mail number four. Anyone welling to guess how many e-mails that might get sent before they realize the customer owns Carnival stock? I do have other brokerage accounts with Carnival stock. If worse comes to worse I will try sending statements of those accounts.

I figured out why my OBC was being rejected. I was looking at the fine print which states that the information received must be a stock statement received within three months of the cruise. I am doing everything right but my April Brokerage statement is out of the three month time frame before the cruise. Come June I will send them a May Statement. That should meet all of the requirements.

I believe you read this somewhere, however I just went back to the Carnival statement and the only thing I see mentioned is that it must be done at least three weeks prior to the departure date. My Carnival PVP told me the guidelines to them state that it should be made at time of booking, however they know of many that buy the shares after booking and send in their statement in at least a month later. Whatever works!

I was rejected once for the stock statement being more than three months prior to the cruise date, too.

It must depend on who receives the request and which cruise line it's submitted to. I have had one rejected (can't remember which line it was) because I requested it before I made the final payment and they required that before issuing the credit. Now, as soon as I make the final payment I print the pertinent page of my latest stock statement and send it in with the booking info. We usually get confirmation in a day or two. Another time we did a last-minute reservation and I sent the request in by fax a week before the cruise. The credit was issued the same day. The last several years I've been sending it in by fax, because they stopped accepting email submissions. Since they've started taking emails again I'll try that next time. I'll find out soon--we have a final payment due next week unless they cancel the 9/4 cruise or extend the deadline.

Got two cruises coming up under this current approval period (October 2021 and April 2022). Emailed my request 10 days ago. Haven't heard one word other than the automated email. Go figure.🥴

Same here. Received the automated  reply, but a week later and no further word. Sailing Sept. 18th.
