Carnival doesn't have single cabins. A single in a cabin for two or more is wasting precious cruise line space. In general, one person won't have more on board spend than two or more people. There is a whole host of reasons why singles should pay a higher per diem.

 

As for loyalty programs, they are all marketing programs, subject to change at anytime. Nothing is earned, as it can all disappear. No part of your cruise fare is earmarked for points.
