I won $10,000 in a slot machine on my last night - took it all home!

Except for what the IRS took or is going to take.  That is what happened to us when we won the Snowball Bingo jackpot on last cruise and they were right there with the IRS form for us to fill out.  🙁

Of course, that is standard when one wins at a casino. I got my IRS form in the mail a week or two later.

You can also get a win/loss statement from the players club at the end of the year to offset some taxes that might be due.

The casino works on the same principle. You need to know how to play and choose what to invest in. My friends and I often visit casinos, and I will say that it all depends on your excitement and desire to understand the game. If you want to know more about gambling, here is joe fortune casino online. You can find the best reviews and information on the subject. In addition, if you have any questions, the support team will help you. If we talk about making money, I think poker is the best way to prove yourself and make money.

cool

Generally, credit cards charge a % fee for charging cash.

Cash advances at reception are just added to your on board account which is settled by your credit card at the end of the cruise. Princess simply charge one bulk amount for all your charges.  There is a daily limit most cruise lines impose.

Wow thanks so much for all your help. I am using a credit card for our account which doesn't charge for currency conversion (Halifax Clarity) so hopefully this will be ok. Didn't really want to purchase US$ if I didn't need to as unlikely to use them elsewhere in the future. I think I will just use my card. Thanks for all the advice!

IF I am reading your response correctly I am not sure you understood.  You will NOT use you "credit card" anywhere on the ship.  The card they were referring to is your cruise card (that opens your cabin door etc) - now it's a Medallion instead of a card.  We were just on a Princess cruise and when we played the slots we put the Medallion where it could be recognized and it asks you how much you want to put on your casino account - that can come from credits you already have on your shipboard account (OBC etc) or if you don't have any credits or you don't want to use them the amount will be added to your cruise bill.  IF you win anything it will give you the option of what to do with the money - you can leave it in your casino account (if you plan to play more later) or you can move it to your cabin account or you can hit the cash out button and go to the Cashier's Desk and they will pay you in $.  As others have said IF you win and leave it in the casino account make sure you cash out or move it before the last day of the cruise.  This whole process can be done everyday if you want to.  The only time your credit card gets involved is when the cruise is done - if you owe Princess money for anything (tours, specialty restaurants, the casino) it will be charged to your card.  When we left our recent cruise my wife owed $91 and I was $97 to the good.  As has happened in the past I expected them to combine the two and maybe send me a $6 check at some point.  Instead when we got home we found they had charged $91 on our credit card - and 2 weeks later I received a check for $97...  Seems silly but that's how it worked for us.  This thread reminds me of the old "What do I do when I win money in the casino" and "What do you do with leftover wine" threads - and no one knew the answers 🙂

Also be aware if you contract covid and are isolated you will not be able to cash out. We have around $1,000 in winnings we have been waiting over 2 months for. Even contacted the casino group and they verified it might take another 4-5 weeks

Hi, I am fairly new to cruising and have never used the casino on-board. My friend and I have booked a cruise on the Regal Princess and fancied going to the casino, but I'm struggling to understand how it works? I see pictures of fruit machine type games which is I'm sure all we would have a go at. But how do you pay? Do you need £1 coins? $1 bills? Etc. I didn't want to get onboard and then need to buy cash, I'd rather take it with me. Thanks in advance, you can probably tell I've never gambled before either lol.

When you want to use a slot machine for the 1st time you take your Medallion & tap in on the Medallion spot on the machine. You’ll need to set up a password first. You use your birthdate first & then pick a password.

To play you could download $ from your account or insert $ into the machine. It excepts only US money from my experience.  Any winnings you simply cash out on the little screen & it goes back to your account. If you want to cash out any winnings you go to the casino cashier & tap your Medallion on their device & enter your passcode. Remember they will payout in US $.

I would suggest that you ask one of the casino staff to help you since you’re using the casino for the 1st time.

Tom😀
