No Half Moon Cay Excursions in August?

Do we booked the Sunrise on August 19th, just booked it a couple weeks ago when they opened her up.  There were no excursions showing at all for a few days, then Nassau opened up with some.  Been watching and still nothing for 1/2 Moon.

Just wondering if anyone else is seeing excursions and I am not, or if anyone else was able to book anything previously in 1/2 Moon?  I believe I read on another post this sailing actually just recently had the itinerary changed to Nassau and 1/2 Moon.

Yep, we're sailing in September and as of this morning there were zero excursions showing for us.

I go bonkers if I can't get everything planned out ahead of time, so Carnival - hurry up, you're messing with my mental well being!!!!!!!  😄

Just to add another data point...  We are on the Magic in August (was the Elation and then got swapped to the Magic -- and our itinerary also changed to now just be Nassau and then Half Moon Cay).  It also shows no excursions at all for me for Half Moon Cay.  Has them for Nassau, but not Half Moon.  So, basically, exactly what you are seeing -- so it isn't just you.  🙂

Hopefully we'll see some soon. I've never been to Half Moon Cay before...

You will LOVE HMC!  It’s beautiful. I’m hoping they open FTTF for our March cruise so we can get priority tendering there. Last time we had one of the cabanas but they are over $300 and I’m not gonna spend that kind of money.

We just booked Carnival Magic sailing Sept 4 and there isn't a single excursion listed. Unless you count FTTF and rides back and forth from the airport to the pier.  We have Nassau, HMC and Bimini so I want to get things scheduled as well.  Especially Bimini since we have never been there.

Any recommendations on what to do in Bimini?  TIA!

Was your original third port Grand Turk?

I would say go check out the Ports of Call, but Bimini has never been a discussion point before, so there are zero relevant posts.

This is the first time major cruise lines have gone there, so anything someone might say about the "sleepy little island of Bimini" is using old data.

I believe John Heald said he would have news about Bimini maybe this week?

If we are vaccinated can we do excursions on our own?  What are the rules now?  I know it will probably be modified by the time we sail in September. TIA!

Yes, right now you are able to do excursions on your own if fully vaxxed.  Depends on the port of call conditions, of course.

Cabana is EXACTLY what I am waiting to book lol!  We love HMC and having our own space with lounge chairs and shower and table and chairs (and provided snacks and drinks)... Hoping to snag one!

We are on the Pride September 12 sailing and I see excursions for all three ports, including Half Moon Cay on September 16.  Half Moon Cay is the port we're looking forward to the most on this cruise, so Carnival best not mess with the Wrath of Intrepid!  😁 🏴‍☠️

We will be sailing with on the 4th with you after numerous cancellations! It's been a long time since I've been to Bimini (working for Windjammer Barefoot Cruises in the 1980's) but, it's a small quiet island. Alice Town is fun to walk around in and bar/restaurant hop even though the Complete Angler is gone. For some beach time, take a ride down to Radio Beach. It's a small beach area but has great water and local eateries to die for (Joe's Conch Shack)! From what I understand, there is also a new Virgin resort with a casino if that's your thing (it is ours)! See you onboard!

First time to Half Moon Cay I recommend no excursions.  First GAWK at the PERFECT beauty, then immerse yourself and float in the amazing calm (swells, not waves) and notice how there's nothing underfoot except beautiful silky sand... no rocks, no seaweed, no shells - even if you dig your feet way deep into the sand.  It's the closest thing to THE PERFECT BEACH I've ever experienced.

Definitely!  It is a beautiful beach and the color of the water is amazing.

Sounds great!  I looked up pictures of Radio Beach and it looks relaxing! Joe's Conch Shack came up as well and I hope it's still in business.  Do you know if it's a tender port or can the big ships dock? Can we walk to Radio Beach or catch a cab?

That must have been so much fun to work for Windjammer!  Thanks again for the insight and see you on Magic😃
