Ships sailing from Tampa in September

Recommended Posts

Anyone heard anything about cruises from Tampa, such as Brilliance.  They are on pause till late august, but the ship and port  never seem to be part of  conversations.   Someone on one of my September Brilliance  roll call threads mentioned some sort of "issue" at the  port, but did not elaborate.

Any insight?

Thanks M

On Royal's website, there are Brilliance cruises departing from Tampa starting in early September however, the Port Tampa website doesn't show any cruise ships departing from the port until October. We have 3 cruises out of Tampa, two this year and have not heard anything regarding issues at the port.

We have two B2B holiday sailings booked aboard Brilliance embarking from the Port of Tampa, the first B2B surrounding Thanksgiving and the second around New Years.  We reside in the Tampa area and haven’t seen any news coverage or public discussion regarding the return to cruising from Tampa.  As mentioned above, the Port of Tampa’s cruise schedule on its website now shows the first sailing to be Celebrity’s Paradise on 11/1/21.

We remain optimistic cruises will return this fall, however remain puzzled that Royal or the other lines have yet to make any public announcements regarding Tampa.

I’m assuming you mean Carnival Paradise.

Hmm-first cruise scheduled to depart on 11/1/21?  That doesn’t sound good for my early September Brilliance cruises.

Wonder when RCCL will get the memo.

We were booked on Brilliance for Sept 27 before we booked Symphony for the same week. There was an error with a FCC and I had to call last week as the Brilliance cruise kept showing up in our scheduled cruises. The rep, for what it is worth; said Brilliance was going to sail by the end of September. This call was on Monday.
