Apex v. Edge

It may be a little early, but I would be interested in hearing from passengers who have sailed on both the Apex and the Edge for their opinions about the pros and cons between the ships.

From what I have read, they have made some changes to the Apex.  Do they improve the ship?  Is there a reason to choose one or other for the same itinerary?

The only major differences are some changes around the rooftop garden area, an additional hot tub in the solarium, and the swapping of the shore excursions and photo gallery, and changes to the casino bar to Craft Social Bar

I had also read that they took steps to reduce the noise at the Fine Cut steakhouse--was wondering if it worked.

Supposedly the Fitness Center was enlarged but looking at the deck plans there was some rearranging of the motion studios but otherwise the footprint seems the same. In any case I thought the fitness center on the Edge was pretty well thought out, although not necessarily my favorite cruise ship gym.

Loved the Edge but lack of adequate restrooms on the same floor as the fitness center is a design flaw.  One unisex powder room is adjacent to the fitness center. If it is busy or closed off due to classes in adjacent fitness class studio it is a 10 minute round trip walk down a floor to use the restroom. Ridiculous. Not sure if any improvement to this situation happened with Apex. Will find out for myself next April when we are on April transatlantic. So looking forward to it!
