We are so happy to back on a ship! I thought we would be talking about things that are different in this new age of cruising but we are finding that most things are the same and feels like a real Carnival Cruise.

Aside from needing to wear masks getting on and off the ship and at Amber Cove, and reduced passenger capacity, things are pretty much back to normal.

As of today crew no longer need to wear masks on outdoor decks. Really happy for them!

if you have any questions or want us to check anything out let me know.

Thanks for the quick review.  This is great news.

As for the casino bar question, the round bar has been removed.  There are machines there now.  There is the sports bar when entering the casino bar and the casino has servers.

it definitely feels a lot less crowded, really nice. There is no bar in the casino. Bar service is very slow while playing but they definitely seem quite short staffed.

Amber Cove was fun yesterday. Seems like most people were in the pool and bar. Not too many walking around the port area or shopping. It was a very different feel from the last time we were there.

Just now, cruise to live said:

What are they doing for folks with no smart phone, or pay as you go phones.  Will there be a way to see the dining room menus?  How about the days activities.

Rumor has it that paper menus are available upon request. And the daily activities list called 'Fun Times', can be obtained at Gust Services Desk. But they ran out of them today on the Vista, I believe...or Horizon. I hope they go back to the paper version the stewards left in our room. And I hope the paper menu is not a rumor but fact. :classic_wink:

Glad you’re having a great time. I have several cruises booked, but none out of Florida yet. How was boarding? Did people need to provide proof of vaccination at the port? Did they volunteer to show the CDC card? My first cruise back is Alaska out of Seattle. I got the “Are you vaccinated?” survey/questionnaire but am wondering what transpires during boarding at a Florida port. Thanks for any insight, and enjoy!

Boarding was easy, same as usual except they did check the actual vaccine cards for everybody at the security checkpoint.
