Free Bottle of Wine the First Night?

You used to be able to get a free bottle of wine in the steak house on the first night. Is that still the case? What about JiJi's, does the same apply?

Just the steak house and I've read you have to ask le they try and just give you a glass of wine.

 

JiJis is only $15, so I doubt they will change and start giving free wine.

I've read it has been extended to the 2nd night, but I'd ask when I book... and how overbooked the steak house has been. Too much obc floating around and cheers deals.

I've had the free bottle of wine the first and second night in the steakhouse - no where else - but haven't cruised since Sept of 17, so not sure if this is still the case.

If they aren't giving it anymore you certainly are not missing anything.ive had $4 bottles of Moscato that were 10 times better. "Free" is a powerful marketing tool though.

It's not terrible, but I tell you what... Aldi has a 3 buck bottle of pinot grigio that is better.  Their zinfadel isn't bad, either.  

 

Free IS a good marketing tool! It gets people into the steakhouse when it would otherwise be slow. Brilliant!

Yes. Carnival is still doing the free wine on the first night.  The free wine selection was limited so we did the 50% off a bottle of wine instead.

JiJis used to, but a carafe, not a bottle. I don't know if they still do. I'll make a note if I can find a pen.

The pinot grigio at my Aldi is $2.00 a bottle it's the only reason I go there.
